Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo State instructed all oil and gas companies operating in Imo State to maintain addresses there and pay their taxes in Imo State Government, stating that they cannot drill oil and gas from Imo State while paying taxes in Lagos. They gave excuses such as insecurity, lack of standard hotels, and Owerri not being well structured to fit their luxury lifestyles. Governor Hope Uzodinma has delivered: Concord Hotel is fixed, Owerri is fixed, and Imo State is peaceful. There are no more excuses. More companies are expected to move their addresses back to Owerri and pay taxes to the Imo State Government. Governor Hope Uzodinma is a big name.

This is horrible, Imo state has become a death trap , dangerous for it's inhabitants. With all these police and military check points, organ harvesters are operating freely in Imo state. Organ Harvesters were exposed in Imo State by Nnonso Nkwa.

Who sang this song? Meanwhile, there’s Igbo girls’ beauty, and then, there is Imo State girls’ beauty. In terms of beauty, they are unmatched. NB: I’m not from Imo State.

In the past, Imo State used to be regarded as one of the worst states in the Southeast when it came to road infrastructure and overall road networks. Today, the reverse is the case. It is honestly surprising that @he_hopeuzodimma is not getting all the flowers he deserves for the scale of projects and visible transformation happening across the state. Perhaps it is because much of the work is being done quietly, without the usual media attention. But for me, I won’t keep quiet when I see genuine progress. When infrastructure is being delivered and people can see the difference, it deserves to be acknowledged. This is Imo State in 2026. Massive transformation is happening here. Well done Imo State Government. God bless Nigeria 👏🏾🇳🇬

- This project is a PPP project between the Imo State Government and the Egyptian energy company Madkour Group - The substation is owned by Orashi Electrical Company Limited, formed in 2024 - The Orashi substation is located in New Owerri and is the pilot initiative for "Light Up Imo" which is supposed to bring power to all 27 Local Governments in Imo State - It reduces reliance on the national grid and allows Imo State to be energy independent and sufficient - it paves the way for 24/7 power to be established in Imo, leveraging its gas supply. Kudos to Governor Hope Uzodimma Hope Uzodimma for this initiative. We hope other Eastern Governors will copy Imo and Abia to electrify the region.

Just In: The corps members kidnapped by bandits were released this evening around Amakohia Ubi-Ndegwu Forest, Owerri West Local Government, Imo State. What of the Imo State Commissioner of Police who told the world they had figured out the kidnappers’ hideout and would close in on them?
