It's called a rotary cam limit switch and lots of old industrial automation process used them as well.

I love that. Analog methods. I work a lot with relays and timers on hvac and I’m real excited to analog program stuff for my kids tree house.

I had a '69 Eliminator. I believe it was original and it had the SCR type control board in it. It never did work well.
