As far as I am concerned they should make way more than this. Their training is life consuming hell for greater than a decade after a likely demandingly competitive college experience. The work itself also is chronic persistent high stress and extreme liability.

I have no problem with people getting paid a premium for such a complicated, important job

False , they work about 70-80 hours per week sometimes more so they actually make about what a CRNA makes per hour
