If a painter sells his painting for a million dollars, how much does he have to give back to the people who made the paint?

As with all art experiments like this, it is designed to deceive. Getting paid in pennies per seconds would suck no matter how much you make. For example, the man on the right makes $52/hr at that rate, and $101k/yr. It is claiming that Bezos makes $1.4M per hour, or $2.9B per year. Obviously this is not his salary.

Bezos had incredible accomplishment/training before he started Amazon. - graduated high school as valedictorian - graduated from Princeton - worked at a startup - worked at two elite wall street firms (Bankers Trust and D.E. Shaw) So you're right, i think his mindset was built on a strong foundation of incredible intellect and education and experience that opened his eyes to the power of financial markets, economics and computing.
