If there truly was a gender pay gap, Firms would just hire only women and take the extra profits. High school Econ is hard… 🙄

Show me one job where a woman and a man both have the same exact experience, education, seniority, and skill set, and the man makes more. I'll wait.

You also have to consider how long you expect an employee to work for you. Companies often won’t hire overqualified candidates because they leave sooner and continuity has value. Women on average don’t stay in the workforce as long. They’re simply worth less on average.

This is something thar is widely misunderstood, mostly because saying women make half or one third of men is the typical sound byte and designed to hook the gullible.

You only have to see the Top 50 'most female jobs' and 'most male jobs' and can see the reason why the 'average female salary' is lower:

This isn't proving feminism wrong. It's just saying that unmarried women may make more $ than married women. The reason being they are less likely to leave the formal, paid workforce, due to traditional patriarchal gender roles. Married women (when this was filmed) worked at home

I never knew Thomas Sowell spoke with one of the founding fathers about feminism!

I didn’t know Tom Sowell debated George Washington. Cool.
