Easily the best of the racing presenters who never got a gig on terrestrial. They don't make 'em like Jonathan any more

Never met him but listened and liked him for decades from afar but when these sort of people leaves it sends a sad chill up you. Nothing lasts forever.

Razor sharp wit and incredibly passionate about the sport. Articulated his views in a confident tone and always brought a little humour into proceedings. He didn't sit on the fence and was opinionated without any sense of ego. He will be missed. Rest In Peace Jonathan Neesom 🙏

I loved his partnership with Stewart Machin at places like Stratford, will be much missed

I remember his reply when someone remarked that you need to get up early to catch out Michael O'Leary, to which Jonathan's reply was "you need to get up bloody early to catch one of his flights". RIP.
