I once put out an old big heavy CRT (with built in VHS) on the curb. As I make it back to the garage a family of latin origin drives by, cuts the power cord, and drives off…. It was fully functional before that.

A guy in our neighboring county had a deep freeze out with free on it for 6 months. He switched it to $100 and it was stolen then next night.
