Its not insane. This is what they’ve been doing for years. The industry knows what audiences are hearing this music. You drive 5-10miles into a different city and the radio station automatically changes. For a reason..

People will not take accountability for the repercussions of exposing their children to inappropriate material. Whatever form of media it is. Yes I listen to hip hop. When my kids are around I listen to instrumentals, jazz, rock, curated R&B, conscious Hip Hop.
