This is the first time I’m seeing this video—or any video like it—about Black history, and it honestly opened my eyes to how ignorant I’ve been of such an important side of our story. Hearing him speak stirred something in me that I don’t think words alone could’ve done. It left me with so many questions and realizations. 1. Religion has long been a tool of colonization, and at this point, it’s almost impossible to tell how far it’s drifted from its original purpose. 2. During the slave trade, Africans sold their own brothers for power, status, guns, mirrors, tobacco, and foreign gin. 3. The cycle continued when some Black people sold out their brothers for a false sense of freedom (I’m referring to the “Uncle Toms”). 4. And today, our politicians are still selling us to the same powers—just wearing newer suits—for wealth and influence. My honest question is: will this cycle ever end? Or is colonialism a hereditary curse that keeps evolving, finding new faces and new systems to hide behind? Seeing us repeat history again and again is honestly triggering. Frantz Fanon once called it internalized colonialism—and I finally understand what he meant.

...You're not going no higher than he want you to go" Yet leaders in Africa join them in punishing their own. Disheartening!

I liked it when the young man questioned the black man in suit, asking if God had put the white man in charge to rule over him. And he was trying to brainwash the young man, but the young man knows what he's talking about. Religion sometimes deprives people of logical reasoning.

Most of these people that call themselves elders today, added hugely to the problems we have in Africa. The newer generation, are now more wiser and smarter. As I Dey like this, come brainwash me mek I see , come bribe me mek I see.

Relates to something we sometimes say here: the only man who wants you to do better them achieve/achieve more is your own father.

They sounded so articulate and sure of themselves. Now, you can’t articulate what they are saying because it’s mostly noise.

The older man tried to play on his intelligence when it didn’t work, he resulted to using religion. I am in the process of reading more about the real history behind slavery in Africa.

These were young, brave black men challenging the status quo in the 20th century, but today we have agbalagbas in their 30s & 40s parading as willing tools & slaves of religion & prebendal politics.

That's not a black man's land, if you like the truth or not. Great generations allowed them of successful slavery, sell themselves and can't fight for themselves. They'll always see us less, even if we take their best job.

Africa’s true freedom isn’t just political — it’s mental, economic, and cultural. Until we defeat imperialism in all its forms, we’re still wearing invisible chains. #AfricaRising #Decolonize
