This is "Lost In The Masquerade," an unreleased Method Man & Lauryn Hill collab, produced by Wu-Tang affiliate 4th Disciple. The "Star Wars” sampling track initially appeared on J-Love’s legendary bootleg Method Man mixtape series, but never saw an official release. A high quality version has never surfaced.

A little something from the archives… this beat was made March 11th, 2008 on my MPC 2000 XL. ☕️ Some of y’all might’ve missed this one. Back in the mixtape era, I produced a joint called “The N Word” for the legendary Scarface, which appeared on his “Dopeman Music” mixtape but never received an official commercial release. 🎹 MPC2000xl 🎤 Scarface 💿 Dopeman Music 🗄️ Original beat Did you catch this one when it first dropped?

Darth Vader’s never looked cooler than in the final moments of Rogue One. When that red light saber turned on, the theater shook. This has to be considered an all-time Star Wars moment within an all-time Star Wars film. Rogue One is a film Star Wars fans deserved.

Method Man had heard about Limp Bizkit and wanted to record with them because he had never worked with a rock band. DJ Premier produced the song even though he was hesitant to do so at first. After a face-to-face meeting with Durst and learning that Method Man would be featured on the track, Premier became more interested. Durst impressed Premier by offering to work closely with him in order to improve his performance, and revealing he owned the entire DJ Premier Tape Kingz mixtape collection.

Method Man reveals why he and the rest of Wu-Tang Clan declined the opportunity to feature on Drake's 2013 track "Wu-Tang Forever" 👀 "I like Drake. I think he's a dope artist. He puts out some great music, obviously... But, when he sent the record, we were overseas. He did send the record. Some brothers were trying to write to it and sh*t. I'm sitting there and I'm like, 'I don't like it.' I was like, 'What does this have to do with 'Wu-Tang Forever?'" (Via 7PM in Brooklyn with Carmelo Anthony)

One of Happy Mondays’ biggest songs was never originally theirs. “Step On” began as “He’s Gonna Step on You Again”, a 1971 track by South African musician John Kongos. The Mondays were initially asked to cover it for an Elektra Records anniversary project, but liked their version so much they kept it for themselves. Produced by Paul Oakenfold and Steve Osborne, “Step On” appeared on their 1990 album Pills ’n’ Thrills and Bellyaches and reached No. 5 in the UK. This Top of the Pops performance captured the Madchester explosion at full strength, with Shaun Ryder delivering the song that gave the world the immortal phrase “you’re twisting my melon, man”.

Sweet - "Fox on the Run" (1975) Follow @classicrockmomentsinhistory "Fox on the Run" first appeared as a track on Sweet's third album, 'Desolation Boulevard', in November 1974 (50 years ago this week). The original album version is an earlier recording than the famous single release and sounds quite different. The more familiar version of "Fox on the Run" (heard in this clip) was recorded in 1975 and released as a single - this re-recording also featured on the US version of 'Desolation Boulevard' (released by Capitol in July 1975 and featuring a significantly altered track listing). All four members of Sweet share songwriting credits for "Fox on the Run". The band also produced the single version themselves (while former songwriter for the band Mike Chapman produced the album version). Sweet had several top 10 singles in various countries around the world, but along with "The Ballroom Blitz", "Fox on the Run" was a career-defining song for the band.

FROM THE VAULT: “On The Radio” is one of Jennifer Lopez’s (jlo) most beloved unreleased gems from the Love? era. Recorded around 2009–2010, the dance-pop track never made the final album, but fans have kept it alive for years. A hidden treasure that many still believe deserved an official release. It remains one of my all-time favorite songs from the Bronx diva. What do you guys think of this track? 🎶📻✨ #OnTheRadio

Spider-Man 2.1 has an extended version of the hospital scene that was too disturbing for theatrical release More doctors. More tentacles. Sam Raimi went full Evil Dead in a PG-13 superhero film The version in theaters was already terrifying. This one is on another level entirely

Keep It Burning feat. ye The track was originally recorded for ye’s album Donda 2. An early, unfinished version with a sample of "Burning Down the House" by Talking Heads debuted on ye’s Stem Player in February 2022 but was quickly removed, making its final release on Future’s I Never Liked You a notable shift. Deja Vu - Kanye West(ft. Kendrick Lamar & Pusha T) Déjà Vu” is an unreleased track by Kanye West, thought to have been recorded sometime in 2015. As is typical with many Kanye demos, it finds him mumbling over the beat as he attempts to create a flow. It was first teased in mid-2018 when a snippet of it was leaked by Music Mafia. Another snippet of the song surfaced in May of 2019 then would presumably be sold by the leaker of the second snippet. The track then leaked June 7, 2019.(Genius) This version is fan-made but still fire!

Super clean and efficient meshes by an AI? YES! The typical 3D Generative AI solutions produce lots of artifacts and usually way to many polygons due to volumetric approaches. In comparison “MeshGPT creates triangle meshes by autoregressively sampling from a transformer model that has been trained to produce tokens from a learned geometric vocabulary. These tokens can then be decoded into the faces of a triangle mesh. This method generates clean, coherent, and compact meshes, characterized by sharp edges and high fidelity.” Surely it is limited by the trained vocabulary but various versions can be trained for specific sets to create generative model libraries for certain object groups. Very promising approach with the high quality.

President Ruto: I visited one TVET where I met this man called Brian, who is in the village working 2 hours for an AI company in Germany via the Internet. Brian is a village boy who has never come to Nairobi and doesn’t have a passport but is working for an AI company which the government doesn’t have a clear policy on AI.
