This is Terlingua Texas. Same climate, shorter travel time. 😂

And this was the first photograph ever taken from the surface of Mars, by Viking 1 lander on July 20, 1976.

We get a better picture from 140 million miles away then we do of a ufo across the street

Devon Island. You idiots think this is Mars? Good grief.

Mars, often called the “Red Planet,” is the fourth planet from the Sun in our Solar System. The average distance from Earth is about 225 million kilometres (140 million miles).

yeah “mars” 🤣

Looks like a hellhole. Why does Elon want to go here so bad?

Why would someone choose to live there instead of here?

So cool to see the surface of another planet in my lifetime.

a banana for scale would be helpful here 🍌

Wow.... parts of Mars is really blurry.

Desolate wasteland not worth going to. We need to focus on taking care of Earth. Best thing @Elonmusk could accomplish - ship all the nukes to the sun on Starship....

What's one thing of value we have gotten from our Mars exploration? One giant dead desert of a planet. The deserts here on earth aren't exactly popular destinations, what are we going to do with an entire desert world with almost no atmosphere?

Yeah... Nope.

Looks like north Utah.

No Mc Donald, no Starbucks, no In n Out Burger... not worth living there 🤷♂️

No one will ever live there.

Is it really that orange? Or is it a filter?

I'll pass. I like my blue skies and green grass.

Yet 140 miles off almost any coast the sea floor is unexplored. I just don’t get the Mars thing when we know almost nothing about what’s in our oceans.

We must build Terminus, the first Mars city.

Some amount of loose soil is also present on #Mars . Let me explain 👇👇 Mars is primarily a rocky planet with a solid surface composed of volcanic basalt rock, similar to Earth's crust. However, it also has soil, often referred to as "regolith," which is a loose, fragmented material covering the bedrock. This Martian soil consists of fine dust, sand, and clay-like particles, rich in iron oxides (rust), giving it a reddish color. The regolith varies in composition and depth across the planet, with some areas having thin layers of dust and others featuring thicker deposits mixed with pebbles and boulders. Data from NASA's rovers, like Curiosity and Perseverance, confirm the presence of this soil, which contains minerals such as silicates, sulfates, and traces of water ice in certain regions, especially near the poles. So, Mars is a rocky planet with a significant amount of loose soil on its surface.

Безусловно, когда мы смотрим данные с аппаратов других планет интересны не только картинки но и звук в реальном времени.

Can I ask someone with knowledge how long did it take the rover to get to Mars?

Kind of looks like my backyard. I found an object just like this with a camera panning around!

hahahahahahaha

Is a rock

So your saying we can get a signal 140 mill miles away but can’t get cell phone service inside Costco?

Just waiting for a dollar general

I'm still waiting to see a dollar store in one of these videos...

Why do they always pick the most inhospitable place to land? 😂

Hard to believe it was sent up there with no ground radar tech......

Can probably still hear my wife yelling.

That's devon Island Canada, go search it.

I can see the back of my house there
