There is no actual scientific evidence that there is any additional danger under a bridge. Any increase windspeed effect according to all actual scientific experimentation (including wind tunnel tests and real world measurements) has shown, while the effect does exist, it results in a completely insignificant increase in wind speed due to the actual conditions. Meanwhile overpasses shield people from debris that is actually deadly. This is a myth that was created by 1 paper written about 1 incident who's source material did not even support the conclusion. What it's become is a way for "in the know" people in the crowd who knows all the memes to laugh at people for not knowing the same bad information while being completely wrong about something. The fact someone like Ryan Hall hasn't figured out this is a junk science urban legend meme by now is very disheartening.
