Day in and day out, K2 is the hardest alpine 8000 meter climb in the world. What a great accomplishment to be on the top. Few have. Some 900 at best. Meanwhile, Annapurna is most dangerous to climb,with was just under 600 successful ascents, with what used to be a 32% death rate, as now declined to around 13%, giving given great improvements in weather forecasting, logistics, and route fixing in preparation by Sherpas. Nanga Parbat with its Rupal Wall, and Makalu are close behind.
