This is Pakistan TV doing what it does best: turning a terrorism plot into an emotional story. A man wanted a Flydubai flight to crash because he was hurt over Iran and Gaza. Around 180 people were saved. Pakistan's biggest channel did not condemn it. It explained him. Angry... at America and Israel, so he wanted revenge, so he did it. That is not reporting. That is a justification. A plane full of passengers is not a battlefield. Grief over Gaza does not become a licence to kill strangers in the air. Pakistan media heard a plot against civilians and wrote a sympathy note. Shameless. The same industry that lectures the world on peace will not say one clean line against a man who wanted a flight to fall.show more

This gentleman was flying Delta and was removed from the plane because he was wearing a Maga hat. The flight attendant told him to remove it so he did, but subsequently there were a few people around him that just wanted him to put it back on quickly so that they could take a picture of him.. which he did. As soon as he did that he was removed from the plane. He was marched in front of a lot of other people and embarrassed, and then the captain had a private conversation with him. The excuse the pilot gave him was absolute utter BS. You may disagree with me on that. The man was kicked off the flight and he now has an ongoing lawsuit with Delta Airlines. I hope he wins.

Let’s not rewrite conversations to manufacture a victim and a villain where there isn’t one. In this conversation Yusuf did not speak ill of Nommy. Not once. In fact, when Tram said, “I want to provoke her every day,” Yusuf immediately pointed out what that would do and he said "it will create a rivalry and people taking sides; and even identified it as a strategy" When Tram said, “I want her to run out of things to say,” Yusuf literally told him, “She will never run out of things to say.” He did not encourage the provocation. He did not insult Nommy. He did not plot against her. And when he was reporting what happened with the air freshener, he was recounting an incident that had already happened. That is not the same thing as plotting to provoke someone. You are absolutely entitled to defend your client. But, do not use her feelings as a licence to assassinate another person’s character, dragging Yusuf into a narrative where he is portrayed as one of three men deliberately plotting against her is simply dishonest. “Just give them your stuff and you’ll be fine.” That’s the lie people repeat until a case like this exposes it. A man in London was targeted over what the robbers believed was a £300,000 watch. The watch was fake. He was outnumbered. He had every incentive to hand it over and survive. They stabbed him anyway. That is the problem with the compliance argument. It only counts the people who handed over their property and lived to tell the story. It ignores the people who complied and still got hurt, because they are not around to explain what went wrong. This man was not in a negotiation. He was marked before he ever left the restaurant. A security guard allegedly filmed him, sent the information out, and four men followed him to his car. So where was the compliance supposed to happen? Gun control did not stop the violence. Disarming normal people did not remove evil from the street. It just left the victim with fewer options when evil showed up. If you choose to comply in that moment, that is your call. But do not legislate the rest of us into your victim mentality.
