Friends, for this Twenty-fifth Sunday of Ordinary Time, I want to focus on the first and second readings. When read together, they give us a very good sense of Catholic social teaching in regard to the question of power. The Church’s position here is a subtle one. It doesn’t demonize political and economic power; after all, God is described as all-powerful, so power can’t, in itself, be a problem. But it is very much concerned with how we use that power.

Here a trick for eye shadows: Add an edge where the eye shadow should start and separate that part in the UVs. That results in a nice, sharp shadow, that you can easily adjust with a shapekey! Usually that area is pretty awkward to paint, so this method works great! Here🔽

I have spent over two decades in politics, and that brings some experience and understanding. One thing I have noticed, and perhaps you have too, is what happens when someone stays in power for too long. Whether it is a panchayat president, an MLA, a Chief Minister or even a Prime Minister, prolonged power can create deep confusion. In a democracy, leaders come to power because of the people. They understand that power belongs to the people, and they are only entrusted with it. But over time, a dangerous shift can occur. Leaders begin to believe that power does not come from the people, but from themselves. When a leader believes power comes from the people, they remain humble, respectful and see every citizen as a partner, whether a businessman, a fisherman or a worker. However, when they start believing that power comes from them, arrogance sets in. The people around them reinforce this illusion, and gradually, the connection between the leader and the people breaks. The leader stops listening, and the people begin to feel ignored and disconnected. Shadow Love🎬 I actually like how this scene treats the divine artifact. It isn’t just some convenient power-up he can use whenever he wants, the power is literally more than his body can handle. To me, that makes the artifact way more interesting, because every time he uses it there’s a genuine chance the power could consume him instead.

These protesters have pitched a tent on private property over a city issue, and the owners called them in for trespassing. The “leader” tells the police she's the liaison and they need to go through her so she can relay information back to them. The problem is, she’s not very bright. Watch as she makes a fool of herself. What should happen to people who think they can protest on private property or public streets? It’s an issue in our current environment.

The addition of Displacement Scale options in Crimson Desert is very welcome as it can help reduce shadow flickering, or even eliminate it in certain scenarios. Here is a quick video I did, first few seconds with Displacement Scale set to High, and then to off. The shadow flickering behind the lanterns as well as all over the building completely goes away. I also gained around 1ms in frametime, so it provides a small fps boost too. I havent seen any downsides of setting it to Off yet. Even the curtains in tents look a lot cleaner with less artifacting and flickering.

This scene gets more tragic when you realize Maria died by shadows power. Its a really great twist to sa2 where yea it was still a gun soldier but it was his power that really did her in. The framing here is perfect, even the music dude lord.

But in Part 2, everyone might get to see a version where Khun Mok’s persona has been lowered. This American family has a property that’s over 100 acres large He wanted to built a treehouse, the county told him it needed to be a specific size, so he built it that size Th country is now saying it’s considered the primary residence on the property and won’t let them build another house….. again they own 100 acres…. The reason is, is because they have an ordinance structure that says you can’t build the secondary home before the first home (and now the treehouse is considered a home) The only workaround is to pay thousands of dollars for surveyors to draw an invisible line, divide up the property so it’s now technically a separate property so they can built their primary house The government is too big.
