A genuine request for help from everyone in the game. This video is from a great friend of mine and a huge positive influence on my life Eddie Hughes. He was the referee for a game where he blew the final whistle a few minutes too early and had to bring the players back out on to the pitch from the changing rooms after a lino pointed out his mistake. This was a top flight game in October 1978 Crystal Palace F.C. v Fulham Football Club He has never seen the game and would love to get a copy of the match. He is 90 next year and I would love to give him a chance to watch the game for the first time. Any help from the media would be greatly appreciated.

This High School baseball coach sounds like has his hands full. I feel for him. He kicked this senior off the baseball team. Listen to the senior laugh and then try to degrade the coach. When asked why he was kicked off he said the reason was they took him out of the game (for who knows what) and they didn’t speak to him about it. So, he got on his phone in the dugout and was texting with his mom telling her to not bother to come to the game. Everyone knows you aren’t to be on your phone in high school during a game. Just by listening to the student and also the fact the coach had an officer present, I can tell what I already need to know. Sounds like the coach is trying to turn a program around. Do you think the coach made the right decision? Context is everything I know, but listening to him, can’t you kind of gather what the issue is? Who thinks this is exactly what is wrong with our younger generation?

Then he requested to be put in a wheelchair & not on the stretcher. As they wheeled him into the ICU in a wheelchair, the power of God came upon him, & he jumped out of the wheelchair on his 2 feet. The nurses asked for the man who is to be transferred to ICU, they pointed at him & all in the ICU & the hospital could not believe what had just happened. $Our thanksgiving mission, a shopkeeper called us to report a cat in bad conditions near the road, we asked him to try to catch him while waiting for our arrival to protect him from the cars . as soon as he was brought to the clinic we were shocked by the number of old fractures and some badly healed, old and new wounds. who knows what history he had, what suffering he underwent. now he is in a massive treatment room and is fed with liquid food. pray for the healing of his body and soul and make a donation on this day, for him and all the cats to be treated in Syria.$

On the evening of 14th Sep he called his uncle and told him that the wife of the colonel at whose house he is posted as a House Help under Buddy system of Army is going to murder him. After three days the family received a call from SM of the unit who informed them that they are sending the dead body of Amit to Jammu. The family received the Body on 19th Sep and even now no one from the Army bothered to inform them about the cause and reason of his death. Family is alleging that Wife of the Colonel was forcing Amit to do things with her which he was not comfortable with. And that leads to his murder. Its such a serious allegation and if this is true its a shame for the entire force.

Today this woman came to my office with a very sad case seeking justice for her son, who is a student at Bookshine Academy School in Mwiki. The mother informed me that they had just come from the hospital where she had taken her son for treatment after he was allegedly brutally assaulted by the school principal together with five other teachers. According to the mother and the young boy, the teachers alleged that the student was involved in a relationship with a girl in the same school. What is even more disturbing is that the school allegedly never informed or called the parents about what had happened to their child despite the injuries he sustained. The young boy had a red eye, severe pain, and visible assault marks on his back. The mother also confirmed that an X-ray report from the hospital indicated that the boy sustained head injuries as a result of the alleged assault. I personally called the school principal, who acknowledged that the incident happened and asked for forgiveness. He requested to sit down with the parent so that the matter could be resolved amicably. However, the boy alleges that the principal personally took the matter into his own hands and used excessive force on him. It is also alleged that the principal had interest in the same girl the boy was allegedly in a relationship with, and therefore he may have been settling scores with the young boy instead of professionally handling the matter as a teacher and administrator. The student further stated that were it not for a CRE teacher who intervened and cried out for him, the assault could have continued. Despite the apology from the principal, the mother could not accept it because her son is still in pain, traumatized, and recovering from the injuries he sustained. I advised the family on the proper legal and administrative channels to follow to ensure that the young boy gets justice. Discipline in schools is important, but it should never reach the level of brutality, violence, or endangering the life of a child. Teachers are entrusted with the responsibility of guiding, mentoring, and protecting learners, not inflicting physical harm on them. This matter will also be forwarded to the Ministry of Education for further investigations and action to ensure accountability and the safety of students in learning institutions. My appeal to all teachers and school administrators is to always handle students with professionalism, restraint, and humanity. Let us discipline children through guidance and counseling, not violence and excessive punishment that leaves learners injured and traumatized.

As the sun sets this evening in Jerusalem – as has happened every Friday evening for the past few decades – Muslims will leave the Old City after late afternoon prayers, and Jews will enter the Old City for their Shabbat evening prayers. The video was taken from Damascus Gate. It’s the entrance to the Muslim quarter of the Old City, and yet people of all faiths feel free to frequent it, to come and go as they please. This is my city – the capital of capitals – a citadel of three different faiths, home to synagogues and mosques and holy shrines. It is the capital of the promised land, a land promised to Ibrahim/Abraham, the forefather of both Muslims and Jews. It is the capital of Israelis and the capital of Palestinians. This little video I took last Friday evening shows something so simple – how normal it is to co-exist. How normal it is to share this sacred city. How normal it is to live together in a land promised to all of us.
