made this in blender and react. still surprising how powerful a tool functional composition is. the ticker is solved with minimal effort, same semantics devs would use on the web. this is a side that is generally ignored in webgl/threejs. canvas3d is thought of in terms of scene primitives, math and shaders. these are all good to know. but i see people all the time trying to use these for solving problems that are inherently of a compositional nature, and fail. imperative javascript and oop lack composition. this is the only thing react adds to threejs (and any other platform it renders to), it allows it to compose.

Fun weekend project: using AI at Meta Sam3 to segment objects inside a SpAItial AI scene. Pipeline: -> Generate a world on SpAItial AI app and export as .ply -> PlayCanvas viewer to render splat + a uniform spatial grid over splat centers -> Capture frames + camera pose, POST to a local SAM3 server -> Lift each 2D mask → 3D: frustum-cull splats via the grid, reproject with the pose -> Recolor / isolate the segmented Gaussians This is all running locally on my Mac. Sharing this Godot quick tip for the new people trying to figure out how to mess with the game while it's running! ✨ (Thanks to Daniel Queiroz Porto and and Ian Williams for pointing this out) 1. Go to the Project Settings 2. Click "Advanced Settings" 3. In "Window" highlight "Always on Top" and create a new editor override for it by choosing "editor" from the list and clicking "Add" 4. Enable the new override you just added 5. Now when you run the scene (Ctrl+R) the window will always stay on top! 6. Press the Camera icon on top of the viewport to sync your editor camera to the game camera 7. Click on the "Remote" tab of the Scene panel. All of the changes you make to these objects will sync with your game in real time! Bonus Tip: You can make it switch to the "Remote" tab by default when you run the game if you go to Editor Settings (Ctrl+Comma) -> Network -> Debugger and click "Auto Switch to Remote Scene Tree"! #godottips

Do you know what I love more than anything? Being right and having things to back it up. For Chris, I present a pop-up to an infielder in foul territory who is not running into the outfield in foul territory, he is just in four territory. The ball is caught, the runner on third tags and scores. As you can plainly see, the batter was NOT credited with a sacrifice fly. Now, I asked about this, and was told by the powers that be that this was the 100% correct scoring on this play because it didn't meet the criteria of an infielder running into the outfield in fair or foul territory. I hope that ends it. Honestly, any more arguing and I'll just assume you just want to be stubborn and not admit that I have this and you don't (which is fine, this is my area of expertise, not yours).

The LLM in the demo video is the big, 120B version of gpt-oss. You can use the smaller, 20B model for this, of course. But OpenAI really did a cool thing here designing the 120B model to run in "just" 80GB of VRAM. And the llama.cpp mlx inference is fast: ~250ms TTFT. Running a big model on-device feels like a time warp into the future of AI.

Two new #threejs projects on the way 😍 Working on my own gem renderer with a custom refraction material in TSL for #WebGPU, combining Screen Space Reflections + SSGTAO for superior results, as this allows diamonds to generate reflections on the metal mesh. The performance is incredible, even on gems with over 200 diamonds. This time, without any additional libraries. Just React Three Fiber and a lot of magic with custom shaders in TSL. GemGPU™ will also come with a very minimalist gem and metal customization panel that hides and lets the jewelry be the star. I also created a beautiful new stats panel that completely hides in the scene when not needed. It provides relevant optimization information, a performance gauge, summary and expanded modes, and day/night toggle. In the video, you can also see SSGI in action, with a pearl that reflects, in real time, all the objects in the scene, just as the objects in the scene reflect the pearl. It's magical. There are still a few things to fix, but I'll share the live link soon. Stay tuned.

Wow. I just put a formula together for the video generator agent and it just output this, really interesting: Running a few more tests before I implement properly. Remember, it's creating the entire logline, prompts, clips - everything by itself AND editing the clips together. Currently in the Replit app, I tweaked the app so that you could see each individual scene in addition to the final video and have the prompt for the scene. However, that makes waiting like 15-20 minutes as opposed to like, 6-8 minutes. Thoughts? Do you all want to wait longer for your prompts at first to try this thing out? I'm getting ready to push soon, there's just a few bugs.

Introducing Open Source AI CRM, that runs on your OpenClaw. A few weeks ago, we launched Ironclaw (An Open Source OpenClaw CRM Framework) which now has around 1.4k stars. A lot of people confused us with NearAI’s Ironclaw, so we changed our name to DenchClaw. The CRM is built on top of DuckDB, the smallest, most performant and at the same time also feature rich database we could find. It creates a new OpenClaw🦞 profile called “dench”, and opens a new OpenClaw Gateway… that means you can run all your usual openclaw commands by just prefixing every command with `openclaw --profile dench` . It will start your gateway on port 19001 range. You will be able to access the DenchClaw frontend at localhost:3100. Once you open it on Safari, just add it to your Dock to use it as a PWA. Think of it as Cursor for your Mac which is based on OpenClaw. DenchClaw has a file tree view for you to use it as an elevated finder tool to do anything on your mac. I use it to create slides, do LinkedIn outreach using MY browser. DenchClaw sees what you see, does what you do. It’s the everything app, that sits locally on your mac. All yours. Just ask it “hey import my notion”, “hey import everything from my hubspot”, and it will literally go into your browser, export all objects and documents and put it in its own workspace that you can use. What happens if you try to push and squash a Gaussian splat? :) Been playing with adding simplified deformation and a lightweight physics simulation layer to Gaussian splats, running directly in real time on mobile. Instead of simulating every splat, this uses a small CPU lattice to drive the deformation, plus a per-splat transform so they actually stretch and compress properly. No mesh conversion, no retraining. Just layered on top of the renderer. You can push, bend, squash a scan and it holds together surprisingly well... Still early, but I can see the potential in making splats feel more real, from static captures to something more tactile, something you can touch, throw, bounce around… or well just fold and squash on the floor :) #GaussianSplatting #3DGS #Unity

This is where I have to share my raw feelings about Rivian software currently on R1. The software experience they have created is good. It’s their own, with their software stack that they control. With that said, we have to stop making excuses for longstanding bugs. Like Quinn Nelson had posted about long ago, having to do multiple Resets, logins and out to get core functionality to work is not the experience we should be having. I know Rivian and Wassym do not want this. I also know they are working on R2 stuff as well. As a person who has spent real money on 4 Rivian’s with 3 R2 reservation between me and hubby, we are huge fans. Have helped many become Rivian owners as well. But the long outstanding bugs are starting to boil over. It’s dragging the software reliability down. Apple Music has been in Rivian vehicles for just about 2 years now. We are past the stage of it being “new”. Spatial Audio is a key music feature, and for me, and plenty of others, you have to turn that off sometimes just to get music to play. I shouldn’t have to do that. Plus, you can’t change that feature while the vehicle is in drive. So then you have to pull over and fiddle with it just to get it work and sometimes it doesn’t. Rivian assistant can’t do it either. Among other issues, like HVAC preconditioning, unstable cabin temps, GPS locking issues, profile switching not getting right or switching profile after the driver has gotten in, mobile app live activities not functioning properly, and more. The live activities is important, because we don’t have a notification for charging start stop/complete except for charging complete on DCFC, so on a level 2 charger, I don’t know if there is an issue with charging if the live activities don’t appear. Same for HVAC if it’s not showing up I have to keep opening the app to check to see what the temperature is. If you aren’t going to push me a notification that the cabin is at the temp I selected in favor of the live activities, then the live activities has to work. I could go on, but I really love my Rivian. I love the brand, I love what they want to do. And I think R2 is going to change the market for most things, but I want their focus to be on software and stability. Focus on polish, focus on features that many people want, don’t over complicate those things. Example, valet mode should be here by now that locks down speed acceleration and access to certain parts of the vehicle. Basic Pin to drive, not the multi factors drive one that depends on your phone and vehicle having an internet connection. Speedy, clean, stable software is always a win. I know Wassym Bensaid and plenty of others at Rivian can do this. We have seen it before and seen what they can do. The YouTube app is by far the best app they have added. I haven’t had any issues with it. It’s responsive, and works. Everything needs to work like that across the board. Please guy let me help in anyway I can, I just want the best for you and the community and customers. Let’s focus on that. I know some will see this as a complete complaining post but it’s not. It’s a plead to make the experience better for everyone and making the Rivian software the best software it can be.

As a person who has spent real money on 4 Rivian’s with 3 R2 reservation between me and hubby, we are huge fans. Have helped many become Rivian owners as well. But the long outstanding bugs are starting to boil over. It’s dragging the software reliability down. Apple Music has been in Rivian vehicles for just about 2 years now. We are past the stage of it being “new”. Spatial Audio is a key music feature, and for me, and plenty of others, you have to turn that off sometimes just to get music to play. I shouldn’t have to do that. Plus, you can’t change that feature while the vehicle is in drive. So then you have to pull over and fiddle with it just to get it work and sometimes it doesn’t. Rivian assistant can’t do it either. Among other issues, like HVAC preconditioning, unstable cabin temps, GPS locking issues, profile switching not getting right or switching profile after the driver has gotten in, mobile app live activities not functioning properly, and more. The live activities is important, because we don’t have a notification for charging start stop/complete except for charging complete on DCFC, so on a level 2 charger, I don’t know if there is an issue with charging if the live activities don’t appear. Same for HVAC if it’s not showing up I have to keep opening the app to check to see what the temperature is. If you aren’t going to push me a notification that the cabin is at the temp I selected in favor of the live activities, then the live activities has to work. I could go on, but I really love my Rivian. I love the brand, I love what they want to do. And I think R2 is going to change the market for most things, but I want their focus to be on software and stability. Focus on polish, focus on features that many people want, don’t over complicate those things. Example, valet mode should be here by now that locks down speed acceleration and access to certain parts of the vehicle. Basic Pin to drive, not the multi factors drive one that depends on your phone and vehicle having an internet connection. Speedy, clean, stable software is always a win. I know Wassym Bensaid and plenty of others at Rivian can do this. We have seen it before and seen what they can do. The YouTube app is by far the best app they have added. I haven’t had any issues with it. It’s responsive, and works. Everything needs to work like that across the board. Please guy let me help in anyway I can, I just want the best for you and the community and customers. Let’s focus on that. I know some will see this as a complete complaining post but it’s not. It’s a plead to make the experience better for everyone and making the Rivian software the best software it can be.

Adobe.. has released a tool that combines Generative Gaussian Splats with a Diffusion layer and it's not all over the internet? WHAT IS GOING ON :D I had to test this out ofc! Substance 3D viewer, the new 3d viewer just released by Adobe, not only supports viewing of a large, large list of 3d formats, but it also supports generating of 3d models as Gaussian Splats. Combine that with the built-in 3d to image functionality and you basically have at least a few of the steps I've been doing for the last year or so using multiple tools. Exciting stuff! The new Photoshop Beta also supports the 3D viewer and you can import 3d files directly in photoshop as smart objects linked to the viewer. The elements you prompt in based on your models, can be easily exported to your clipboard without backgrounds making it very easy to use this in your normal image editing workflows. I have a suspicion that we'll see much more of this in other Adobe tools and I'm very curious to see this used for things like this in more 3d tools than "just" Adobe Neo (which is fantastic btw). #adobe #art #gaussiansplatting
