To the people who don’t know ball, that’s not necessarily a bad thing because those are the downs that teams expect that you are running the ball. Doing things that defenses don’t expect is a good thing, not a bad thing.

Rebuttal: Ravens have been elite during rare 1st and 2nd down runs partially *because* they barely ever do so, thereby catching defenses off guard when they do. That's only a marginal advantage at best, but still something to consider. I ultimately agree w/ ur take.

While that’s a very interesting, I dont think that metric is the biggest contributor to their 1-3 record. They are giving up the most points in the league. And their offense has scored the second most points. That said, attention should be on their defense.
