@JoshuaPHilll That guy - the principal - was talking and explaining things in the most rational, calm and transparent way imaginable - I could not imagine any more direct and civil way of communicating the issue, clearly legal in nature - and the cops respond with derision. It's fascinating...

@JoshuaPHilll Protecting the rights of its students should be a top priority in every school. This principle & his staff bravely did the right thing.

@JoshuaPHilll The cops posed more of a threat to that school than any of the students. Cops committed 1-in-20 of the homicides in the US last year. Also, they spend their time in schools harassing kids, criminalizing disciplinary problems, and making schools less safe.

@JoshuaPHilll This was from 2018 and cops just ignored the principal, lied about them “hiding the kid,” surrounded the school, and then searched it anyways. Denver found none of the officers did anything wrong

@JoshuaPHilll @KevinFoxJr I’ve never seen a school refuse entry to a cop

@JoshuaPHilll similar story: 15 year-old boy pulled from school without his parents consent and forced into giving a confession for a crime he did not commit. the principal was in the right.

@JoshuaPHilll They can wait off school property for the student or go to the student’s home. If he is a minor, they should be calling his parents.
