You never realize how hard it is until you clutch foot the breaks. IYKYK.

You can still buy them.

I switch between regularly these days so I don’t struggle as much but there have been some extremely hard braking in the past with that left foot hitting a phantom clutch (brake pedal) 😂

Yep. Only thing I'd buy for years. I'd rather drive a stick when towing heavy loads.

Or when your comeing up on a red light and hit the brake with your left foot and face plant the windshield.

I grew up driving a stick. Remember a couple times, driving an AT, and accidentally stomping on the edge of the power brake pedal, while going for the clutch that wasn't there.

That's why, after 30 years of driving the Ford F series, i bought a Toyota Tacoma. That clutch pedal was more important than brand loyalty.

I never have issues when switching to a manual vehicle from driving an automatic for a while. But when going from a manual to an auto; I always and up belting the fucking brake pedal once or twice when my leg twitches for the clutch :/

So true, your hand automatically looking for the shifter and your left foot not finding the clutch.

My problem when changing to automatic was the sense of speed. In a manual I knew approximately what speed I was going. In an automatic I would hit the gas and just keep going faster then realize I was going 90 mph.

I almost put a couple of people through the windshield trying to press the clutch..🤣🤣

What is great is when you forget pulling up to a light and put the brake to the floor expecting a clutch. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣 At one time I had two 4 Runners, one standard and one automatic.

I had several Manual shift Cars & Trucks. A Jeep CJ also.

Then you come to the stop light and slam your left foot on the floor. The struggle is real.

I still put my hand on the gearshift on my automatic when I hit the brakes, anticipating downshifting 🤣

Driving a manual let's you feel more connected with the vehicle IMO.

I have one of each, I switch every day. It's not that hard.

I've turned off my mom's Cadillac so many times without putting it in park because I'm so used to driving my standard truck.

Still have manual, I won't drive anything else!

the stick is not the problem. the problem is that stupid ass long brake pedal. go for the clutch, slam on the brakes.

No doubt... I've made that move to the ghost stickshift more than once

still drive a 5 speed stick shift- when in an auto- feel like something is missing- too easy.
