“Met Police can go to hell.” Palestine Action and its supporters have sent a clear message: they have nothing but contempt for Metropolitan Police frontline officers. When a group of extremists takes to the streets to defend a soon-to-be proscribed terrorist group and protest against those who risk their lives to keep our streets safe, it is a frighteningly clear indication that something has gone very wrong in this country. The authorities have a lot to answer for. This ban on Palestine Action — as called for by CAA and others — is a good start, but it should have happened a long time ago, as should bans on these kinds of protests. This must be the start of a clampdown on lawlessness and extremism if it is to be of any consequence.

Happy Monday….I took down my post yesterday about this because sometimes it’s better to see a video than to read words on a screen. This is another reason why they want to muffle Harbaugh. He’s advocating for the players that make the system what it is. He wants kids to share in the revenue that they help to generate. This isn’t the conversation that anyone in collegiate sports want to hear. Kids aren’t aware of what all of the system entails economically and they dont know all of the moving parts. Harbaugh understands and he can help to champion the cause while educating kids who wouldn’t necessarily have the experiences or resources to “get it”. This statement should make him a hero to all future, current and former players. All you have to do is ask yourself “would my coach ever advocate for us like this, has my coach ever advocated for me like this and what would make someone take a stand like this?” S/O @bklynplayboy for the video and Nate Ortiz for the edit 🫡

A point of utter embarrassment and shame for many Iranians is the manner in which elements of the diaspora danced on the streets in Western capitals as bombs rained on Tehran. It is also a source for a lot of anger among Iranians in Iran who oppose the theocracy but nevertheless did not favor war and who are stunned to see some in the Diaspora being so indifferent to the suffering caused by the war. But there is another aspect that deserves closer scrutiny. These, almost exclusively pro-Shah elements of the Diaspora, did not dance to celebrate the downfall of the regime. They didn't dance because they had won. They simply danced because the war had started, nothing more. As if their goal was neither freedom nor democracy, but simply revenge and the pleasure they took from seeing Iran bombed. Had they danced after the theocracy had fallen (which it hasn't), it would be a bit different. It would be a moment where they could argue that the price was very high, but because the regime is defeated, it was worth it, and, as a result, a cause for celebration. But they didn't wait for the regime to fall. They danced right away. Signalling that the cost was worth it, EVEN IF the regime didn't fall. Because it was always about selfish revenge, not freedom.

I’m simply asking you to replace these Muslim people with a European Christian in your imagination and imagine a Christian being told by a Muslim: “Why have you come to England, a Christian country?” If that had happened, the entire global media would be condemning it right now. Media outlets that are too cowardly to tell the truth for fear of losing credibility should remember this: one day, the same intolerance will turn on them and when it does, there will be no one left to defend them.
