🙌🏼He came to the forest for silence. For peace. For a quiet sunrise with nothing but birds and fresh air. So he sat down on that chair, closed his eyes for 5 minutes… and forgot one thing: This isn’t your backyard. When he opened his eyes, the forest wasn’t quiet anymore. This guy is receiving heavy criticism and backlash on Instagram for using his leg to help a puppy that was struggling to climb. So the man gave her a $100 to pay, like when she’s playing cashier at home. She takes the money and puts it into the donation for feeding the needy. The man only had that $100 on him and now can’t pay for his groceries. He talks to a manager about taking the money back so he can pay. This is Marcus, and his accidental service dog, Gunner. Marcus served 3 deployments to Afghanistan. For years, he’s woken up at 3am, drenched in sweat, convinced he’s in back in Kandahar. Gunner came to the family when his owner passed away, which was a neighbor of Marcus. On the first night they had him, Marcus had a nightmare, and Gunner immediately jumped on his chest, and laid on him. For the first time in years, Marcus didn’t thrash, and was able to just breath, despite almost 80lbs of weight on him. Gunner laid on him for 2hrs+ that night. Marcus’s wife had urged him to get help for years. She was able to catch it on recording, to show to his counselor. The counselor told them what Gunner was doing was called “Pressure Therapy”…which is what PTSD service dogs are trained to do. Gunner never had training. He just had instincts, and an instant bond. The term, “Man’s best friend” doesn’t cut it sometimes.

Saw this today and it honestly broke me a little. This man was sitting on the curb with a small food container, clearly not much. Right next to him was his dog, wrapped in a little blanket, lying on a makeshift bed. The guy opens his meal, takes a few bites… and then without even thinking twice, he feeds his dog from the same box. You could tell it wasn’t just “a pet.” That dog was family. They looked at each other with that kind of trust that you can’t fake. It’s crazy how people with the least often give the most. No phone out for attention, no crowd watching, just a quiet moment between two souls surviving together. I don’t know their story, but I know love when I see it. And this right here, this is love.

The vet had been honest with the Hollands. Baxter didn't have much time left, and the kindest thing they could do now was make whatever he had left count. So on a warm Saturday in June , instead of a normal quiet day at home, they loaded the old Bernese into the back of the van and drove him two hours to the coast. Baxter had never seen the ocean. He was 13, and his whole life had been the backyard and the same worn spot on the living room rug. The kids wanted him to see something big before he went. He moved slow getting out of the van. His back legs weren't what they used to be, and the boys had to help him down onto the sand. For a second he just stood there at the top of the beach, nose up, taking in all that salt air and open water like he couldn't quite believe it. Then something in him shifted. He started down toward the surf on his own, stiff and determined, the way he used to trot to the door when the kids came home from school. When the first cold wave washed over his paws, his whole face lit up. He didn't run, he couldn't, but he waded in up to his chest and stood in the shallow water with the sun going down behind him, and the whole family just watched. Nobody said much. They didn't need to. They stayed until the light was almost gone, taking pictures, letting Baxter rest against their legs, giving him one perfect afternoon to hold onto. The vet was right about the time. Baxter left them a few weeks later, at home, surrounded by the people who loved him. But he saw the ocean first. And every one of them is glad they gave him that.

This has to go down as the craziest thing you’ll ever see in your life 😅😭 Got Sabonis under 14.5 rebounds two minutes before he was about to be subbed out, when he had 11 rebounds. This was a massive error line on Underdog — they had his rotation wrong. He then goes in for a layup, gets four rebounds on the same play, and then sits out for the rest of the game… Can’t make this stuff up. 😅

The young man have refused to take 1k each from him. They are demanding for Kshs. 5,000 daily for each for all those days inorder to listen to what he's telling them! Life flight leaving with him Him TERRIFIED not knowing what is happening. Chronic ear infections needing antibiotics that wreck their gut? Sick shortly after receiving 💉? “When I got to him that day he started to turn blue. I picked him up and held him out in front of me to open up his airway. He was still moving all extremities at that point. Minutes, maybe even seconds who knows, later his arms went limp and fell back behind him. The rest of his body then quit moving in my arms as well. 9-1-1 rushed us to the ER. All tests, blood work, scans, x-rays were normal. They intubated him because he was struggling to breathe on his own. Life flight came and reintubated him because he was uncomfortable. We got to Childrens at the same time they did. They admitted him and immediately took him for his MRI. Dr. Cullimore knew what was happening before we even got there. They had just had 2 children with the SAME thing leave in the last two weeks with it, they came from the same ER as each other. One left a day before we got there…but it’s “rare” right? They asked all sorts of questions. So many tried to blame his daycare provider. I knew that would never be the case. After his MRI she sat us down and specifically said “this can be caused by a vaccine or a virus”. My heart sank. I knew what happened to him. Still mad I didn’t get that on video. If you can plan a nursery, you can take the time to read an insert for your childs safety and wellbeing. My baby was not sick.”
