This is sparking a real debate… 🌯 A customer went into Chipotle and asked for extra rice—something many people believe is supposed to be free. But this time, the manager stepped in and said he’d have to charge for it. What should’ve been a simple request instantly turned into...

The manager's right. "Extra" rice isn't free by definition—it's portion control to keep costs down and prevent abuse during promos. Customers expecting unlimited add-ons for free are why prices keep rising everywhere. Consistency matters, but so does not turning "free" into an all-you-can-eat loophole. Would still hit Chipotle though

Exactly @AngelMD1103 Extra = extra, not unlimited. Portion control keeps the BOGO deals alive instead of turning Chipotle into an all-you-can-eat loophole. Smart call, manager!

What a bunch of losers! Anything extra should legitimately carry a cost. Otherwise sure. I'll have a bowl with 9 scoops of rice and extra everything so I can feed my entire family. Stop being cheap ass losers and pay for what you want....

The manager was saying that he was on scoop number 5, which is a bit excessive

extra rice means 1 extra scoop for free. not infinite scoops. Clearly they're trying to take advantage of the chipotle after the viral "get all free extra if you record" tiktok bullshit. the manager is in the right. dont tolerate their bullshit. kick them out.

If it was always free, you can’t suddenly switch up without clearly telling customers. That’s how frustration starts. At the same time, people do take advantage, so I understand a manager trying to control portions. The real issue is consistency. Either it’s free or it’s not, but it shouldn’t depend on who’s behind the counter that day. Businesses lose more customers from confusion than from giving an extra scoop of rice.

you can literally request extra rice or beans in the app? at no cost. so manager is wrong. meat tells u there is an extra

So, you think someone holding a camera, laughing, purposely antagonizing the workers where eventually you hear them yell “ICE” a couple of times after they threatened police. Let me ask you this, did you even watch the full video because why are you ok with them chanting ICE?

“It supposed to be free” Easiest way to show your level of intelligence. People like this is why good things get taken away from the masses but it turn into some race/class bs because that’s easy to manipulate people’s emotions. Even though she says, one scoop is free you got 5; it’s irrelevant to so many and because of that there will be no free scoops. Thank these asshats…

How do you define extra rice? Some times you go there and get a half scoop… the next time two full scoop. That’s always been my issue with them - inconsistency.

These are the people who drive up the costs for everyone. Chipotle uses fresh, premium ingredients. Guess what? They cost money. Go to Taco Bell, and see if they even offer extra rice.

These guys are trolling, but…. Everything other than the meat and guacamole should be included, not “free”, but you can get as much as you want (that fits the bowl). The only real cost is in the meats and their profit margin is definitely enough to cover the random person who wants some extra rice, beans, cheese, whatever. Most people don’t want extra filer…

Extra rice and extra beans is supposed to be free. Chipotle has never charged and isn’t supposed to charge for anything extra other than a MEAT. Only chicken, and carne, al pastor is extra, not any of the grains or toppings. Unless you’re getting guacamole or queso blanco. 🥴

Quick facts to cut through the noise: Chipotle's official policy lists rice as a free base protein option (like chicken or sofritas). Their menu board spells it out unlimited scoops within reason for that base. But "extra" beyond your standard portion? They've charged for it inconsistently since at least 2022, per their own FAQs and employee training docs. Managers have discretion to enforce portion control to avoid waste, especially post-pandemic when food costs spiked 20-30% industry-wide. Customer's side: Feels like bait-and-switch if it's been comped locally before. Loyalty builds on those unspoken perks why nickel-and-dime now? Manager's side: Portions average 4oz rice per bowl doubling up jacks costs without revenue. Chains like Chipotle lost billions in shrink from over-portioning pre-2023 crackdowns. Fair play when lines form and ingredients run dry.

.David Sacks: "You're gonna see in the wake of this is that a lot of Jewish people are realizing that they don't have a home on the left anymore. And I expect that many Jews are going to start shifting right into the Republican Party, to a place where I've been for a while.... But I think what's happened over the last few decades is that the civil rights movement, in particular, and the left have moved to this woke ideology where it's no longer about colorblindness. It's more about identity groups. And instead of trying to get past racial differences, it's been about accentuating them. And so we've had this whole equity agenda, which is really defined as redistribution from one racial group to another racial group. I think that, for whatever reason, a lot of Jews just hadn't confronted the reality that the left had really changed in this way. I think it goes back to the fact that they thought if we're going to be defining identity groups in this woke way, Jews obviously should be one of these victim groups, but they're waking up to the fact that Jews are not. Jews are in the minds of this woke ideology, just white people with a Jewish background. As a result, they're part of an oppressor class. And I think that a lot of Jewish people who are waking up to this are realizing this is actually a very destructive ideology, and it makes us the bad guys. So I would expect that, again, a lot of Jewish people are waking up to how the left has changed... and I would expect there to be kind of a pilgrimage now of more Jews in America towards the right, as opposed to remaining on the left where they've always been." .Scott Jennings schools Ana Navarro on CNN NewsNight after she calls the $1.8 billion DOJ fund to compensate victims of unfair lawfare “reparations.”: Navarro: “Republicans used to balk and be shocked and uh outraged by the idea of reparations to people who suffered slavery. But we're going to be giving money to uh January 6th insurrectionists. That part's okay. Yeah, it's it's disgusting.” … Jennings: Have you ever been unfairly targeted by the Department of Justice? Navarro] I have been unfairly targeted by this administration, yeah. Jennings] Have you been unfairly prosecuted by the Department of Justice? Navarro] Are those the people that are going to be in uh in this— Jennings] So the answer is no, you haven't. So so the issue is, the question is, has anyone in the history of the United States ever been unfairly targeted by the Department of Justice? Of course they have. And there ought to be just at a top line a way for people to seek recourse if they have been unfairly targeted. That having been said, this all started by the fact that Donald Trump had his tax returns unfairly and illegally leaked by the IRS. That's where all this started and he was initially seeking damages for that, which he has given up. He'll receive no money as I understand it. And now it has morphed into this idea that there have been people that have been unfairly targeted…. I want a uh do I want a world where if you've been unfairly targeted by the federal government and it was truly unfair and you truly were had something done to you that should not have been done, do I think people should be able to seek recourse for that? Absolutely I do because I think it probably happens and not on a partisan basis but it probably happens all the time. And I think people ought to be able to seek uh some sort of damages if they've been unfairly targeted by the department or by the federal government.”

This woman walked into this ice cream shop and ordered an ice cream cone. When they handed it to her she told them she couldn’t pay for it. 😳 The employees said she had to pay for it. She didn’t have any money. She asks them if they are going to call the cops. This male customer sitting there chimes in and says if they call the cops he will be a witness. The woman said she told them she wanted it for free but the man said that’s not true. He said he watched her the whole time. She tries to put it down on the countertop but the employee tells her don’t leave it there. So she walks over and throws it in the trash. The witness tells her “this is what entitlement looks like” as she walks out the door. Some people said why not just buy the ice cream for her, to have a heart, because you never know what someone is going through. Others said if she had asked the right way and told them up front she didn’t have any money then maybe they would have purchased it for her but to come in and order and THEN tell them you don’t have any money is just wrong. This wasn’t a steak or a burger or a meal, I could see buying her those things to help someone out that is hungry but an ice cream is not a necessity. No one owes anyone anything. What do you think? Should one of them have bought the ice cream for her, given it to her for free? Or do you think she was trying to get something for free and trying to take advantage of them?
