Doctors will block the puberty of children with “gender incongruence” as part of a medical experiment to determine the impact on their well-being, says the British government. “Right now, there isn’t enough information about the possible benefits or risks that young people with gender incongruence may experience when taking puberty-suppressing hormones,” says King’s College London, which is set to carry out the experiment next year on children ages 10 through 15. “The study will be overseen by independent advisory groups,” adds King’s College, “and will be subject to rigorous regulatory and ethics checks by UK regulators and the Health Research Authority.” If there are indeed ethical and evidence-based “UK regulators” who are in charge of “ethics checks,” they must stop this unethical and dangerous medical experiment on children before it begins. There is already sufficient evidence that puberty blockers cause significant harm to the brain and skeletal system upon which the entire body depends. Ninety percent of the children who receive puberty blockers will go on to use cross sex hormones, which can cause cancer, and many others will receive surgeries that sterilize and deprive them of sexual function. Puberty blockers don’t improve mental health. Data from a gender clinic in Britain that the government shut down because it was causing so much harm, Tavistock, found that more children see their mental health worsen than see it improve. Children are not old enough to give their informed consent for puberty blockers, and they are not medically necessary; the children can receive safe and evidence-based treatments for anxiety, such as family-based cognitive-behavioral therapy, and gender anxiety goes away for the vast majority of children once they go through puberty. Earlier this year, psychiatrist and former Tavistock gender clinic board member, David Bell, argued that the UK law demands that experiments minimize potential interference with a child’s “state of development.” And yet it is with a child’s “state of development” that puberty blockers are meant to interfere. The experiment will not allow the doctors or children to be “double-blind,” or ignorant of whether they are getting the chemical or a placebo. It is easy to imagine how doctors biased toward puberty blockers would treat the children receiving them in ways that might temporarily boost their mental health and distort self-reporting. And it is based on a pseudo-scientific ideology that posits the existence of a non-entity called “gender identity” in children’s brains. And, finally, the UK government already declared puberty blockers to be risky last year, which is why it prevented any doctor, not just those in the NHS, from prescribing them. The UK government says the lack of evidence for puberty blockers is why it must study them, and it was the author of last year’s report on trans medicine, pediatrician Hilary Cass, a Baroness in the House of Lords, who agreed to these experiments. Her review found the evidence for their benefits was weak and the potential for negative effects was unclear. She thus recommended clinical trials, noting that some clinicians, children, and families felt the drugs were beneficial. But the Cass Review also noted that “In 2011, the UK trialled the use of puberty blockers in the ‘early intervention study,” and “Preliminary results from the early intervention study in 2015-2016 did not demonstrate benefit.” By 2020, there was still a “lack of any positive measurable outcomes.” The fact that some families and clinicians said they benefited from puberty blockers is an extremely weak source of evidence for moving forward with these experiments. And there is some evidence that parents play a key role in the relative anxiety of their children. For example, family-based cognitive-behavioral therapy (FCBT) is more effective than Child CBT alone. It is difficult to understand Britain’s proposed unethical experiments on children. Most people in Britain are against allowing doctors to conduct such experiments on children. So why in the world did Baroness Cass recommend clinical trials, and why did the UK government follow through on them? Why is the UK moving forward with this disturbing and unethical agreement? And what will it take to stop them?... Please subscribe now to support Public's award-winning journalism, read the full article, and hear the full video!

Erin Friday says that in states like California, parents risk losing their children if they refuse to transition them. She broke down to me how Child Protective Services can take children and strip parents of their rights once a child enters the system. “I have evidence of school counselors telling children how to use Child Protective Services to get away from their parents who refuse to capitulate and call them another gender.” “Once that child then gets into the crosshairs of Child Protective Services, the child can be taken and placed in a temporary foster care family.” “During that interim, the parents are being investigated.” “They can be investigated just from not calling their child a male or female name, whichever the child wants.” “There are foster care bill of rights in many of the blue states.” “Those bill of rights require that the child be housed based on gender identity… not their sex.” “So we take a child and put them in a very vulnerable position.” “The Bill of Rights also allows the child to get sex-rejecting interventions.” “You don’t need consent from the parents anymore.” “You get child and government consent to cross sex hormones, puberty blockers, name change.” “Parents essentially lose their parental rights to the government as long as those parents refuse to transition their children.” “These children are taught also to make false claims of abuse, not just emotional abuse, but physical abuse.” “The parents can’t even go to the press about what is happening to their child.” Erin Friday, Esq.
