In ‘81, when I started on the Mail in Manchester, I arrived at OT trying to find Ron Atkinson’s office. Kath took me under her wing, made sure I was escorted through the corridors and got where I needed to go. She was endlessly smiling and helpful - even to reporters ⚽️❤️😢
