Bobi Wine, who was reportedly captured by the army, is now reported to have escaped during the raid and is said to be on the run. Elections under Museveni, who has been in power for four decades since 1986, are not genuine contests for power but a choreographed ritual with a predetermined outcome.

To which I agree, when people look at allegations, the quick, easy generic argument to make is that there is a power dynamic, while also further diminishing any other argumentation. People in the past few years have made this argument frequently, that it has diminished the true meaning of what is actually a power dynamic.
