🔥🚨 This is the correct method to remove a tick using only a thread! They loop the thread around the base of the tick and pull it out completely, including the head, mouthparts, and all other parts. Most people twist or yank the tick, leaving behind parts that can... show more

@dom_lucre Just use rubbing alchohol on a q-tip. Rub around the tick in circular motions. Rub the tick too. If will come right out and it sanitized the area. If the tick gets away the alchohol will kill it.

@dom_lucre Back in Pleistocene Era when I was in Boy Scouts, we were taught to light a match, then blow it out & quickly touch hot match head to tick. It would back itself out, totally intact.

@dom_lucre I usually put Vaseline on it and wait until it starts to suffocate and loosen its grip then it comes off easy. Then I take the little fucker and put him between two pieces of scotch tape. Bye bye.

What did I just watch! 😩

You take a lit cigarette, you hold it near the ticks ass, they back themselves out. THAT is the correct way to remove a tick.

You first world people are weird. There are millions of ticks here and you just pull them off when they bite. There is no trick to it. They come right off.

Once you have been bite by the tick you are infected. Pull it off any way you like. It won't keep you from getting Alpha-gal or Lymes. I had one for only 15 minutes and got it all the way out. Still ended up with Alpha-gal and terribly sick.

Don’t they usually have heads??

That's not proper technique. Using fine-tipped tweezers, grab the tick close to the skin. Pull gently and steadily. Don't jerk or twist, as this may leave the mouthparts embedded in the skin. Be patient. After a bit of time, the tick will release and can be removed.

Well, back in the day........... We just used a lit cigarette. Put it on the tic's butt, and it backed out.

Looks like you already have a Bulls eye lesion there it’s time to start the doxycycline

@EveWhite1968 Just put a freshly blown out match head on there ass... the back right out...

@Roscoewoody73 Don’t matter if the head is left in or not, it usually isn’t and people think it is. If that tick is carrying something and it’s been on you for a while, you’re already exposed. Has to be quite a while tho

just put 90% rubbing alcohol on it for 2 or 3 minutes . it kills them and they just fall off . this is where you tell me that it doesn't work because I've done it more times that I can count .

@dom_lucre Why don’t they just grab the damn thing and yank it out?

Mineral oil or other non-irritating (to humans) oil. The tick backs out on its own, because ticks breathe through their abdomen and the oil clogs the breathing pores.

@dom_lucre All you have to do is cover it in cooking oil and it will let go on its own.

No just get a pack of tick tornadoes. Super easy multiple sizes for even tiny ticks and works perfectly, ticks come out alive with head so no risk of Lyme etc.

A match works way easier

The South.

My mom used to smear the tick with bacon grease, suffocating it. When it’s back legs start to kick, you can easily pull it off. At that point it released its bite because it was suffocating. If you just grab it and pull, you risk pulling off its head because it has a strong bite

I have always “burned” them out. The just back out themselves when a little heat is applied

Or.... just pluck it off and throw it to the chickens, or burn it w the tweezers and Crack lighter, either way, it sends a message to the other ticks

@Girl777Cali There's a gadget that does this. I think it's called tick twister.

There are at least three hands involved in this process. Sadly I have only two at my disposal.

@BrendaFran16534 This is stupid. Just pluck it out with your fingers or a tweezers and destroy the tick. Put some alcohol or neosporin on the bite. If it itches, put a dab of tea tree oil.

Better to soak in alcohol and get them to back out. Takes a couple minutes longer, but I did it recently on two, and they did, indeed loosen up and were easily pulled entire.

We used to just put a flame to them and they come out on their own…

@dom_lucre I love reading THREADS like this.

@dom_lucre I usually just hack the arm off, gotta make sure

Never seen so many tick removing videos in my life. I wonder y?

These work perfect too and I have one on my keychain

@JulesUSA6 My Mom would light a match, blow it out, then touch the hot tip to the tick. It backs out of your skin, shrivels up & dies. Lots easier.

@dom_lucre They are super tiny ones that look like speck of dirt too tea tree oil
