This is not the first time ANC Government pulled similar stunts. They once made us que at Showgrounds the whole day for none existing posts. People started queuing as early as 2am in the morning for nothing.

Reporter: Disappointing jobs report just released this morning. Just 22,000 jobs added, and the unemployment rate ticking up to 4.3%. That is the highest unemployment rate we've seen since 2021. Also worth noting that June was actually revised down into negative territory, so 13,000 jobs lost in June. That breaks a historic streak of jobs growth since December of 2020

When I say that Zimbabwe has 95% unemployment, this is what I am talking about! A few posts opened at a local hospital in Norton, approximately 40 kilometres (25 miles) west of Harare along the main road to Bulawayo. This is the queue of young people hoping to get a job at the hospital. When we talk about the consequences of corrupt and incompetent rule, this is what we are talking about! No country ever succeeds when its young people are redundant. Investment is avoiding Zimbabwe and going to other countries due to failed leadership! This image of a long queue of young people seeking employment at a local hospital in Norton is a stark illustration of the dire unemployment situation in Zimbabwe. This high unemployment rate is not only a reflection of the country's economic struggles but also a direct consequence of corrupt and inept governance. A lack of investment in job creation and economic development has led to a situation where young people are left with few opportunities for employment, leaving them feeling hopeless and frustrated. This, in turn, can lead to a range of social problems, such as increased crime rates, drug abuse, and political instability. The situation in Zimbabwe is a prime example of how poor leadership can have devastating effects on the population, particularly the youth. Without a concerted effort to address the root causes of unemployment, such as corruption and mismanagement, it will be difficult for the country to make any progress and provide its citizens with the opportunities they need and deserve. I never understand why this ride gets some hate. It's a classic story, the music is great, the concept is cool and the memories I have of riding this attraction when my kids were young are awesome. It's one of my favorites despite the slow and usually long queue!
