It is with great humility that I present to you Iqraa, a project that I've been working on for a couple of weeks now with the sole mission of making knowledge more accessible to Muslims in this digital era. Without doubt, trying to learn about Islam can be daunting and difficult if you don't know where to start, or tedious because there's just so much information on the internet, with that in mind, I sought out to build this as a means to bridge the gap between Muslims and the knowledge of Islam. I ask Allah to accept it from me as an act of Ibaadah and that it becomes something adopted far and wide insha'Allah Visit: to get started.

I wanted to have some time to sit back, evaluate, look at it and kind of figure out what the best thing to do was. Wanted to be calculated in how I handled it and I thought today was the right time." 🫍 It wasn’t really that big of a thing, but it happened during the time when I was going through burnout. Like I said before (about trying to heal by doing things out of comfort zone), since this is something new for me... The thing was, I had a really sore throat, so I couldn’t take singing lessons, but the concert date was getting closer. That one time when Ju asked me when I'll take a practice for song, I had a sore throat at the time. Well, since I’m doing it anyway, I needed to do something, so I decided to learn the language instead. I had to make those 2 hours of lessons worth it to practice my pronounciation. For me, it was pretty hard because I don’t really watch Korean series. The 2 series I remember watching are Full House and The Glory, I guess? So the language wasn’t really familiar to my ears. You know, it’s hard to mimic because I usually learn by mimicking. So when it comes to a language I didn’t really have much exposure to, it takes longer time to practice. The L sound and stuff like that. But when I can finally do it, it's so fun. I love it.

My kids can be finicky when it comes to food, but my problem is with me. I don’t want them to be without so what ends up happening is if they like something, I will stock up on it. This is why I have two mega boxes of slim Jims in my pantry, this is why I have 4 Costco size boxes of Welch’s fruit snacks and so on. I have yet to find a healthy compromise when it comes to keeping a decent amount of the foods they like in stock. They change their mind too much and when they stop eating it the food expires so I have to throw it away. Almost like clockwork right after I threw it away, they ask for it again. I definitely know how it feels to try to make sure the kids have things they want to eat but with them changing their minds so much, that makes it quite challenging and I really don’t have a viable solution except to run to the store every time they want something. What do you do in this situation? I am willing to try anything at this point to avoid the waste of food and money.
