Parents are teaching their son to scam with resealed Pokemon packs. This is a lengthy video, but it's been making the rounds a bit. A dad is teaching his son to scam buyers on Whatnot by selling resealed Pokemon packs. Instead of teaching and raising your kid to do the right thing you're using him as a pawn in your scam. Bringing in your own child to do your dirty work is sad and pathetic. Listen to how happy the dad is because "we made a great amount". This father is a loser. Same with the mom if she's in on it. Leave children out of stuff like this.

This lady is trying to explain millennial teaching to her retired teacher mom. It shows the absurdity of today’s teaching and why this does NOT work when old school teaching did. We made lots of mistakes with the No Child Left Behind Act from the Bush administration, everyone gets a trophy, to allowing liberal woke mindset to take over the classrooms. I'm not sure how to fix it but we could start with stopping the nonsense allowed in schools.

Leaders of opposition should unite. I agree 100%. But what is the glue that will hold us together? Do we have shared values? Are we uniting to replace the problem with another problem? How do we give every Kenyan the confidence that we represent a bright future with a stable economy? How do i convince GenZs that this speech by a leader of such great influence is the change they were fighting for? I found it difficult to continue associating the GenZ movement with this.

They don’t have air conditioning in many parts of the third world because they can’t. Not because it’s some noble choice or a slavish attachment to their own poverty. When we say “import the third world, become the third world,” we’re not just talking about the people, but also the culture, the ideas, and especially this strange romanticization of undeveloped, near-primitive conditions, the same mindset that leads people to argue we shouldn’t have air conditioning either. Those conditions are not a standard worth aspiring to. And this is but one example of how this degrowth mindset has made the West completely lose the plot with their anti-industry, anti-production, anti-growth, anti-abundance assault on civilization.

Why do our cities look dirty, with garbage everywhere? Here, a child is showing a banner about the penalty for littering, but his parents ignore it. The same parents will later complain on social media and blame the authorities for not keeping our cities clean. We often complain, but we don't take responsibility ourselves but expect others to do so. We drive on the wrong side of the road and then complain about drivers who do the same. We throw garbage and then complain about unhygienic conditions. This is a result of social norms. We tend to do what others are doing, and the police cannot catch everyone, giving people an unfair advantage. This mentality trickles up the ladder, and nobody takes responsibility, leading to the mess we see in our cities. Our airports are clean because no one throws garbage there, and there is a positive demonstration of social norms. A few good people are not enough to change society.

Let’s be clear: no party or candidate is entitled to anybody’s vote. Yesterday, a large number of people who previously voted Conservative voted Reform instead. Others who previously lent us their support voted for Labour, the Lib Dems or other parties. So I have no time for those who argue that other parties are to blame for the result. Regardless of the party they voted for, throughout the campaign I heard the same message from people who said they wouldn’t vote Conservative this time. It was that we’d let them down. We made promises in 2019 on things like controlling immigration, but delivered the opposite. They said we indulged in ourselves rather than focusing on their priorities. And they were rightly angry. But people also told me that, if we changed, and focused on the issues that matter to them instead of looking inwardly, they would consider voting Conservative again. Winning back that support won’t be easy. It will require the Party to change. We must show people that we’re not on the side of elites or the establishment, and will put the interests of ordinary British people first. But if we do that, I’m confident we can regain the British people’s trust and win next time. That starts with saying sorry. And meaning it.

The only stakeholders that matter are Albertans. We need to address the existential threat to Albertan workers and consumers that has emerged with President Trump and his impending tariffs. We need tough, hard, pragmatic solutions, but instead we have a Premier with no plan, but the same old talking points. We need to sit down with industry and stakeholders to understand their needs and how we can best help them. Our Premier needs to be working to diversify our markets so our province is more sustainable in the long-term. We need a Premier who can get the job done for Alberta. But instead, Danielle Smith is more concerned with her most important stakeholder: President Trump.

I can tell almost instantly when I meet a young man or woman, whether he or she is a deep thinker. They may not be at the top of their class, but that doesn’t necessarily make them less intelligent than the kid who scored 1500 on his SAT or the guy with an IQ of 134. They may be more intelligent. Much more intelligent, but the methods we have for quantifying that intelligence do not adequately capture the breadth and depth of brilliant minds that exist in the world. So they go unrecognized while the kids who excel on answer-based examinations get the best grades, attend the best schools, earn the best degrees, and, more often than not, go on to have mediocre lives. Why? There is one thing that the most brilliant and accomplished people I have ever met all share in common, and it isn’t pedigree or IQ. It’s curiosity. And not just any curiosity—it’s the inexhaustible kind. It’s the kind that will never be satisfied. In my experience, this is the sort of curiosity that breeds humility and most often coincides with a questions-based mindset. And it’s this type of mindset, not the answers-based mindset our educational system selects for, that is the actual prerequisite for brilliance. I’ve seen this kind of brilliance in physical therapists, plumbers, and pretty much any profession you can imagine that we don’t typically associate with brilliance. But we do associate it with excellence. And that’s because to become excellent at something, you have to become your own teacher. This means going from learning how to give the right answers to learning how to ask the right questions. And that requires curiosity and an almost psychotic commitment to excellence. So, while the person in this video is correct that less intelligent people than he are far more successful than he has been, the more interesting and less remarked upon insight is that people like him are not as brilliant as the system tells us they are.
