Whenever I see people doing such acts, if I am early I will snatch the trash from their hand and keep it with me and throw at nearest bin If I am late to snatch the trash I tend to over see them with anger for the entire journey and immediately stop any conversations

Have cctv cameras throughout the trains except the toilets. Use AI to auto report littering and abuse of facilities. Send invoice of the fines to the passenger and reflect in their IRCC id. If unpaid, their ID should have a -ve balance which has to be made 0 before booking again.

Nothing wrong!! Even pantry workers throw the wastage and garbage outside train . I have seen in top tier trains .. and the rag pickers picked the items for recycle. ♻️

I wouldn't blame either one, its the systems developed and supporting infra in place. There should be consideration of quick available trash systems in place while designing the train module. And the system by design should penalize by rules for litteration in public areas.

Do you know what happens if we throw it on the dustbin?? The cleaner will just push all the waste through the door. Imo scattered waste is better than concentrated. IRCTC has a lot to do about them.

Solution is trains like Vande bharat. No doors no windows can be opened. Both litter and litterbugs are closed during the whole journey.

That’s exactly why we need trains like Vande Bharat.

To get to the desired mind set we need to set very very strict rule. Fine only will not help. If people cannot develop mindset on there own, then we have to come up with some rules which can put serious threat in mind and desired mindset is developed and they stop this.
