A rare sight from Uttarkashi, Uttarakhand. Amid fresh snowfall, devotees witnessed the meeting of Kaling Nagraja Devta and Maa Nagni Devi near the border village of Hurri, close to Gangotri Dham. This is the Sacramental Blessing and Exorcism of Water and Salt. During some ceremonies, blessed and exorcised salt is added to a natural water source, such as a river or stream, as a sign of purification, spiritual protection, and blessing for the local community and its surroundings. This practice has a biblical reference in 2 Kings 2:19–22, where the prophet Elisha used salt in connection with the purification of water. In the traditional Roman Rite, salt is first exorcised and blessed before being added to water. The salt symbolizes preservation, incorruptibility, purification, and spiritual protection. This rite is therefore not simply about the physical water. It is a sacramental act of the Church, asking God to bless, purify, and protect the people and the place through prayer and the use of blessed elements.

Aayush Rawat, a boy from Kashipur, #Uttarakhand , was detained by Uttarakhand police just for sharing a meme video of Pushkar Singh Dhami on Instagram. He was detained on Monday night, around 8:00 PM and was allegedly beaten, abused & kicked by police. His only crime is that he posted news and incidents through a meme video that are happening in Uttarakhand. We are shocked that one can't exercise his/her right to freedom of expression anymore in Uttrakhand? It is not known what action is taken against the criminals, but Arrests are being done for writing about crime on Social Media. This what a real Dictatorship looks like 💔 Narendra Modi Uttarakhand Kranti Dal Uttarakhand Congress Harish Rawat , kindly look into this matter !!
