As a kid, exactly how I envisioned it. 😄

Lot of people got hype with the 3D games from the start, I wasn't ready for it until they added more polygons and better textures. Arcades game developers knew this and that's why they waited before doing the transition.

The nostalgia factor for this game probably lies mostly on Nintendo Power - they hyped this game up with comics, previews, guides. And for those without large arcades, this was pure magic having 3D! We barely noticed the slowdowns lol

Is it possible to add more enemies on screen at once? Years later it looks a bit bleak and empty.

Yes, they knew how to make games back in the day. You can have all the technology and not compete. Limits brought innovation.

Most of that is already in! ^_^ DLSS5 is giving disappointing results though, and I cant legally distribute the dll. But still seeing what might be possible with it.

I don't think I could play it that way, but holy shit that's neat. As of last week, (idk if it's been fixed yet) the controls bug out on Steam Deck badly, Linux app version. Might have to run the .exe in Proton compatibility.

That fix should be rolled up into the next build 0.0.7! And yeah thats definitely not for everyone, absolutely just an optional toggle!
