They actually had to do a study to figure this out? This used to be called "raising your kids to be good adults". It was a normal, widely understood fact of life. I can't wait for the Father to return. This place is lost.

Some people only believe in studies, so we have to conduct the studies for them 🤗

Competence breeds confidence.

Also helps if you’re working alongside adults. Rather than them sitting around watching you do it. Chopped a few cords in my youth.

My chores consisted of holding the flashlight and being yelled at.

That’s every kid's chore. It’s universal 🤣

“People who are taught the value of hard work at a young age have better outcomes.” Thank you captain obvious. Where are these parents who think work ethic is something that happens by accident? Probably the same people who think raising a society of people who are narcissists also happens by accident. How much did this “75 year study” cost?? Next time you want to study something that is common sense let me know, I’ll charge half. 🙄 Anyone who still isn’t convinced that prioritizing parenthood and childhood is the path to healthy society doesn’t have their eyes open.

These days, we often treat children as if they are living in an unrealistic ideal world, like angels. While this may seem like caring for them, it can actually eliminate the opportunity for them to experience and understand their value as independent members of society in reality.

Fucking obvious, painfully obvious.
