You should not call out people without carrying out a risk assessment, so here are the people I am calling out. - a bit of an odd position to take.

Exactly

All I’m left thinking is “who the fuck does he think he is?” Nobody is accountable to Jolyon Maugham. Not a soul.

He’s openly advocating “going softer” on black professionals. This man is a clear and present danger to black Britons. We should not be encouraged to be delicate snowflakes.

Is he saying that it’s the Guardian’s fault but not the fault of the journalist who wrote some of the main coverage purely because they’re black? If they were white it would be though? Does he think black peoples are pets?

@Julesmadworld On the plus side, he does know the difference between “less” and “fewer”.

"What's the Guardian for if not to support me unequivocally?"

@leakylike He seems to be saying journalists should be treated differently depending on their skin colour, that’s racist 🤷♀️

That voice though.

the man is quite mad.

"Intellectuals of colour" is a new one from the identity politics dictionary for me.

The way he talks about blacks and brown is so belittling and racist. Mind blowing

Kath Viner is an Editor, not a social worker or mental health professional. Her responsibility is to full and accurate reporting. Maugham is bonkers.

How very controlling.

He knows Arday was encouraged to fight on by the Good Law Project. He knows that was a disastrous decision.

Complete loon. Did he apologisefor that 'letter of support' which some signatories then deleted their names from, when Arday was exposed? Can't have helped.

I’m an old-school leftie, but the more I hear from Jolyon, the more determined I am to vote for Kemi Badenoch. He’s such a tosser and everything that’s wrong with white progressives. They are such a weird combination of being massive losers while being preposterously pompous.

His view of black people is actually pretty racist.

Jason Arday's lies:

“Why are the black journalists doing the heavy lifting, where are the white ones”? MoJo asks. That question is racist in itself as it assumes readers chose those articles based on their race. I wasn’t even aware Lanre Bakare was black.

Putting it mildly imho. He wants his cake and eat it, then eat it again. Lanre Bakare is an unscrupulous git who has a vendetta against Arday, but then he praises him here says white woman Kath Viner sent him to do the heavy lifting. Nuts nuts nuttity nuts

I'd also like to know why Jolyon calls women rights a culture war & fights to do the very opposite of clearing up a mess men have made. If we are to believe Weddell, an oft suicidal man with a fragile mental state, then Jolyon has left him to beg & bed down with strangers to

That's quite a racist view to say that black journalists shouldn't have to do the more difficult stories and should not be held to as high standards. And the rest of it is quite mad. He's becoming delusional.

No wonder he loses every case. He's all over the place.

Was it really only a day ago he opined, 'today of all days is a day for White people to listen, & not to speak'? Weirdly he's not only still talking, he's also complaining about Black people speaking if they speak for the other side, that they are made to do the "heavy lifting"🤨

He is far more culpable than anyone at the Guardian. He duped tens of thousands of people with his letter of support and many of them turned on Jason Arday quite vociferously when the truth came out. His “white saviour” approach was a death warrant for a mentally ill man.

I like how his voice starts low on the register, very deep and measured and grave, then as he gets excited it leaps up several octaves and becomes the weird strangled soprano we know and love him for.

So black journalists good, but black journalism bad. And black journalists have no agency, they just do what they’re told. And calling people out is bad because they might be mentally vulnerable, except it’s ok when Jojo Two-Windmills does it. Eh??

Are grown up, intelligent black people ok with men like him saying they "need to be looked after"?

I'm so looking forward to the day when this guy is finally exposed.

He is a very odd man, Do you think he has his wife's kimono on under that sweater?

@leakylike Comes across as a hostage video. In a way, it actually is.

Do you do a risk assessment before you spout any of your mad shite? Get a grip, you fox-battering clod.

Still beating the fox of truth to death with a golf club

Yes he is very odd. His voice is odd too

@SDewherst He is just odd full stop.

Here is my premier documentary about goat relationships in certain cultures. Very odd. This is a highly professional, academic study into odd relationships and bonds. We produce this film purely for goat welfare and no goats were harmed in the production of this documentary.
