Instead, she ignored the question, then accused us of being “a group supported by China.” This is what happens when politicians would rather deflect than debate. Calling for peace is not harassment. She asked a legitimate question. A South African minister publicly labelled Nigerians as drug dealers, and a Nigerian journalist asked for accountability. Instead of answering, suddenly the question was “disrespectful” and she was threatened with being kicked out. At this point, I genuinely believe some South Africans are simply intimidated by Nigerians. The hostility is becoming irrational. You cannot publicly stereotype an entire nationality and then become offended when a Nigerian has the audacity to question you. She asked a question. If the statement was defensible, defend it. Threats and intimidation are not answers.

When you want to do the things you want to do as president, you’ve got to have real facts behind them. And if you don’t, you’ve got to be able to prove yourself in a court of law. If you’re wondering what happened in the courtroom, the first thing that might’ve told you the federal government wasn’t doing so hot was when they started off some of their arguments by talking about Truth Social as their source of facts.
