My sitdown with Mpho Dagada was taken down by YT, but I hope it'll be re-edited & uploaded. The ANC govt agreed to dismantle the nuclear weapons that the Apartheid govt built, & signed the Pelindaba Treaty to agree that Africa will be a nuclear-weapon-free zone. We're not led.

Dear Africa, I'm pretty sure many of you already know that I am not only an advocate for Nuclear Energy in Africa but of a Nuclear Weapons Umbrella as the only deterrence to ensure sovereignty of Africa. The time to tear up the Phelindaba Treaty. He is how others got them.

German Defence Minister Boris Pistorius on nuclear independence: We signed the Non-Proliferation Treaty and committed not to have our own nuclear weapons. Taking this step would be a breach of these treaties. Why should we question NATO’s nuclear deterrence? It is guaranteed by the Americans.

Today’s threat of attack by nuclear weapons has never been more serious. The U.S. and nuclear powers must reverse direction, get back to negotiations and move towards joining the Treaty on the Prohibition on Nuclear Weapons.

Why Africa Needs To Go Nuclear Africa sits on a very large amount of uranium. Yet the continent is a signatory to treaties that prohibit it from ever using this uranium to serve and defend its own interests. Through the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and the Pelindaba Treaty, Africa has been boxed out of nuclear deterrence, while its fissile reserves have continued to power the cities and arsenals of its former colonizers. Buried in each of these treaties is a provision to withdraw from them under "extraordinary” circumstances. Today, Africa’s former colonizers, under the de facto dictatorship of the United States, are funding genocides in Palestine and Sudan, arming terrorists in the Sahel, dropping bombs on Latin America and kidnapping popular leaders. Are these circumstances not extraordinary enough for Africa’s leaders, who claim to serve the people of Africa, to finally start taking the sovereignty and security of their continent more seriously? Mayowa Durosinmi (Mayowa Durosinmi) reports for the Spearhead.

#WATCH | Delhi | Defence Expert Praful Bakshi says, "Donald Trump is absolutely correct that Pakistan has nuclear weapons, and it is testing nuclear weapons... When nuclear testing is done underground, there is a fair amount of earthquake activity. The sea waves become so heavy that they are classified as a tsunami. So it is very harmful... This means the original SALT (Strategic Arms Limitation Talks) and the START (Strategic Arms Reduction Treaty) to curtail the weapons systems have all come to nought... At the moment, the world is on the brink and is in danger of facing nuclear weapon competition between the countries and proliferation of nuclear weapons..."

Regarding South African nuclear weapons and the fact that SA has enriched uranium enough to build at least 10 nuclear bombs, please listen here. I insist that the time to tear up the Phelindaba Treaty has come. Africa must have a nuclear umbrella.

Wild to think that even Australia was considering nuclear weapons in the late '60s. The plan was to refine weapons-grade uranium at Jervis Bay. Shows how real the prospect of dozens of nuclear breakouts then was—and how effective the 1968 Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty has been

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian calls out the double standard surrounding nuclear weapons in the Middle East. “Israel is not a member of the NPT, and they have nuclear weapons in great numbers. So is there any international institution protesting why they have this kind of nuclear weapons?” Pezeshkian contrasted this with the pressure placed on Iran, which remains an NPT member and maintains that its nuclear program is peaceful. Israel has never joined the NPT and maintains a policy of nuclear ambiguity, neither confirming nor denying possession of nuclear weapons. “You have witnessed what they are doing in Gaza and Lebanon.”

Is Iran reporting that tactical nuclear weapons are being used against them? This video explains and shows footage of extremely small nuclear weapons, such as the Davy Crockett W54 warhead, one of the smallest nukes ever built. Tactical nukes below 0.3 kilotons cannot be easily detected.
