I feel that Sista’s pain… I had at the time a 2 yr old son and was fired. After many petty attempts, they fired me for clocking into work late after lunch… unrealThat was it for me!Started my own small business and and haven’t looked back since. Doing way better than a 9-5

Start preparing your children for Trade School and not College is a great start! Teach them to go get skills that's universal, that they can apply that skill towards starting their own business. Even tell them to learn multiple trades! But say no to College please, it's trap

I have never called a contractor to do work on my home who isn’t Black. Why? Because if we aren’t intentional about investing in Black businesses they don’t succeed and can’t scale. We change that when we invest our money through supporting the business. Each year I keep a track of how much I’ve spent with Black businesses and people. We should all look at how much we #BuyBlack so we can grow our own individual impact in our community. Black businesses supply Black jobs which help make our communities stable, resourced, and safe. It’s Black business month, #BuyBlack and do your part to help build a stronger Black ecosystem.
