SOMEONE PUT AN OPENCLAW-RUN VENDING MACHINE IN SAN FRANCISCO an AI agent is running an actual physical vending machine OpenClaw decides what to sell, how to name the products, how to price them, creates the ads, and tracks all the sales you can even see a dashboard of all the sales that the AI vending machine made the vending machine hardware does the dispensing. the AI does everything else, and of course inventory is supplied by the guy who runs it it's installed at Frontier Tower in SF which is a building packed with AI and robotics startup founders the agent forgot things, hallucinated, and at one point raised prices way too high. then tried to justify it because people were still buying we are now living in a simulation.

A wonderful display of humanity and compassion. There was an active shooter at the Valey Fair Mall, and people ran to the neighborhood to seek safety. This man opened his home to so many. He gave them food and shelter. Many were there for hours until they could be picked up or allowed back to their cars. Not all heroes wear capes.

You don't have to be at an arcade. You don't have to be at a mall. You can be sitting on your couch at midnight and decide you want to try to win a toy or a gift card or whatever's loaded in the machine. And this is interesting because you only need to own one physical machine, but you can have thousands of people playing it all over the world. And if multiple people want to play at the same time, then you can charge extra. If you have a fixed supply and high demand, your price goes up. The prizes can be anything, toys, electronics, gift cards, merch, whatever. People can share with their friends. They play over and over. It becomes content. It becomes competition. People stream themselves trying to win. And my mind is exploding with possibilities because it's not just a vending machine business. It's an entertainment business, it's e-commerce, it's gamification, it's live streaming, all wrapped into one. And someone just figured out how to make it work with a claw machine. 10,000 plays. That's how many plays this guy got overnight on his virtual claw machine business. You could do this with anything.

These people at the airport scare celebrating that the vending machine was broken and keeps spewing out “free” drinks. Each person that goes and gets one holds it up like a trophy to the cheers from the other flyers. The maintenance man ends up unplugging the machine to prevent it from hanging out more free drinks to everyone’s dismay. The man who last paid for a drink with his card is claiming that each time it gave out a free drink, it was actually charging the last card used which was his. If what he claims is true, everyone who took one was actually stealing his drinks he paid for, should he seek action against the owner of the machine or are the people just as guilty?
