277 right now near Uptown. Please do not be on the roads if you don’t have to. Side roads are very slick and snow is building up. You can’t tell what’s a road and what’s a median. WSOCTV

WATCH: FOX2now and SkyFOX Helicopter captured our officers rescue several drivers who were stuck this morning. Solid work by our Traffic Safety officers. We continue to ask drivers to stay off the roads. Streets are slick and many are snow covered. #SLMPD

Road to Perdition! An RTC bus struggles to move past a pothole in #Hyderabad. This one is near MGBS, Chadarghat. City’s roads are riddled with potholes. Pathetic is an understatement. Free bus okay! But you know what will be better? Roads free of potholes 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 #Pathetic #Roads

⚠️ I can’t overstate how CATOSTROPHIC this Ice Storm could be if the models are even half right. 🧊The Model AVERAGES are showing around 1 inch of Ice Accumulation from Texas, through Louisiana, Arkansas, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, and into the Carolinas. Some Models (like the generally reliable Euro Model) even have a crippling 1-2" of Ice accumulating there. 🧊 To put Ice amounts into perspective: 🧊0.25” – Highly disruptive. Iced roads, scattered power outages, tree and line damage. 🧊0.5” – CRIPPLING. Severe tree damage and widespread, long-lasting power outages. 🧊1” or more – Catastrophic. Infrastructure failure, impassable roads, and weeks-long power outages. ⚠️ This is why this setup is so concerning. A prolonged, multi-day freezing rain event would lead to disastrous ice accumulations. 🙏 Let’s hope the models are overdoing this, because if they aren’t, the South could be in serious trouble. Don't panic yet. There is still time for trends to change. I'll be live at 7:00pm ET to talk through this. Hang in there. I'll help get you through this my brotheren

If we’re telling you not to drive on snow- and ice-covered roads… please know this advice is backed by experience. How do we know? Well, today we had to rescue one of our own patrol vehicles after it decided the snow looked like a great parking spot. If a fully equipped sheriff’s vehicle can get stuck, your car can too. So do us (and yourselves) a favor: Stay home Stay warm Let the snow win today We promise the roads will still be there tomorrow. #SnowAndIce #LearnFromUS #StayOffTheRoads

Dear friends we all know this is the season when Dooars & other parts see a lot of rainfall. Many of the roads are passing through forest only. Remember wildlife has first right of way on such roads. Give them space and way. Drive slowly and safely.

We all are aware that a severe winter storm is coming our way this weekend. Sunday is supposed to be the worst day. Do you find it necessary to panic buy at the grocery store like this person is, or just buy a little more than normal in case roads are bad for more than a day.

Look at this CCTV footage - a truck rams into several cars at a toll plaza. If you think you are a defensive driver who follows every rule, you are still not fully safe on our roads. All it takes is one reckless driver to turn normal moments into lifelong tragedies.

I’m ready to sit on the roads of Hyderabad until this issue is resolved! Citizens, let’s come together and put an end to these violations. Why can’t we make our city a better place to live?

Everyday feels like a real-life Final Destination in India. You leave home thinking it’s just another normal morning… and then a speeding bus crashes into people simply standing at a bus stand checking destination boards. In Haveri, a 2-year-old child lost his life. Others, including another child, are injured. Not because of war. Not because of terrorism. But because basic public safety, traffic discipline, driver accountability, and transport enforcement continue to fail people every single day. Bus stands, roads, footpaths… nowhere feels truly safe anymore. This wasn’t an “accident” alone. It was preventable negligence.

Why Hyderabad Drowns After A 20min Rain? I may not have a simple answer to this complex question but was in Raidurgam area yesterday and this what I saw. This is right next to the Raidurgam metro. It is like the IT hub of Hyderabad and look at the state of things here. Roads are being dug to lay drainage pipes. Locals told me it has been close to a year since they started digging. The debris is just lying on the road, existing drainage seems to be damaged and all the sewer is flowing on to the main road. To make things worse, many are parking right on the road making the congested area much more difficult to commute. There is no parking space at Raidurgam Metro. If someone wants to take the metro, they have to arrive on a separate vehicle to reach. Plus there are a million autos lined up on the road. Traffic police who hide behind trees or corner you in some random street won’t regulate traffic on the main roads. They won’t show a solution to park vehicles but will collect challans. Why are you collecting challans without any space being earmarked for parking? Do you expect people to jump off a parachute and get into a metro? We look at China, Japan with their advanced technology of laying roads in a day and will be wowed. Here governments talk about AI city, Future City and such money minting projects for the government and still get wowed. Why isn’t AI or advanced technology being used to repair roads, drainages or maintain infrastructure in the existing city??? Why this craze to call the existing city a dump and then pumping huge public money into a nonexistent Future City? Why is governance driven by real estate ambitions of a few politicians?
