How did he know it was Fulani herdsmen that attacked and kidnapped the passengers? What evidence does he have to this claim? Kidnapping has becoming a regular and common hustle in the criminal world and everyone criminal is venturing into it, every kidnapping now is pointed to Fulani herdsmen which is not entirely true, boys don dey kidnap dey make money from this kidnapping business.

Can we also do what the Osu Ibos did when Fulani terrorists attacked Orire School in Yorubaland by mocking the victims and Yorubas? Those demented souls did the same when Ibadan saw destruction from the detonation of indiscriminately stored explosives meant for illegal mining. We are more humane than that and not demonic like you Osu Ibos. We will not cross certain lines of humanity and morality. We pray the victims are rescued alive.

Those are Igbo kidnappers. My friend was kidnapped on that same highway two years ago. All his abductors were Igbos. Very wicked souls. My friend was going to bury his late wife, for where, dem nor hear. Kept him there for nearly two weeks until ransom was paid.

Owerri Anambra section of South East Not geria is a very small place, land mass wise. Towns and villages dot the area, with not much forests. The kidnappers can be tracked, traced easily, if @PoliceNG is determined to get them.

BREAKING NEWS: Corps members, driver, and other passengers kidn@pped while travelling today An unspecified number of travellers have been kidn@pped on Nigeria's independence day. According to reports, at least 2 commercial buses were affected. The passengers and drivers were reportedly taken away by armed kidnappers. According to an eyewitness report, the incident happened along the Onitsha–Owerri Road in Imo State. Other vehicles travelling along the road were also reportedly affected, with passengers in some of the vehicles allegedly taken away by the kidnappers. The exact number of people kidn@pped is not yet clear. A video shared online shows loved ones stating that some of those kidnapped are corps members who left with Uko Akwa Ibom Motors from Ibadan to travel to the places they were posted to in various states in the south-east and south-south zones. The passengers boarded a bus at Samonda, Ibadan, with the aim of travelling to orientation camps in Akwa Ibom, Enugu, Imo, and Abia Some distraught family members visited the park where their loved ones took off from and recorded a video informing family members of other travellers who left from the same park of what has happened. "They carried everybody, including the driver," a passenger who boarded a bus that managed to escape the incident said as he filmed the commercial bus abandoned by the roadside after the passengers and drivers had been abducted. One woman narrated how her child left the park in Ibadan to travel to orientation camp in the east. She said that they received a message from her child in their family's WhatsApp group earlier this morning, October 1st. According to the mother, her child typed "kidn@pper" and that was the last they heard. She said they have been calling her child's number but it has remained unreachable.

On Sunday afternoon, in a drive at the Gourkanya Bus Terminus in Malda, names, logos and stickers mimicking those of government buses were removed from several private buses. Many private buses were operating with colour schemes (blue and white) and names resembling those of the state transport corporation. The use of such colours and names was causing confusion among passengers, particularly women. Following an order from the state government, free travel for women on government buses was introduced on 1 June. However, due to the visual similarity between government and private buses, many female passengers were inadvertently boarding private buses and subsequently getting hassled. Some private buses were displaying names like NBTS, MBTSG, and MMT to mimic the name of the North Bengal State Transport Corporation (NBSTC). Additionally, the vehicles were painted blue and white, just like government buses. On Sunday afternoon, Anupam Chakraborty, the regional transport officer (RTO) of the district, arrived at the Gourkanya Bus Terminus with transport department staff. There, misleading logos and stickers were removed from several private buses. Furthermore, markings and text imitating the state transport corporation’s branding were painted over with black ink. Passengers expressed relief at this move by the transport department. They believe that a clear distinction between government and private buses will prevent future confusion and significantly reduce harassment, especially for female passengers. Maloy Karmakar, in charge of the Malda Depot of the North Bengal State Transport Corporation, stated that the blue-and-white colour scheme has been used on NBSTC buses for many years, and the colour of private buses is not within their jurisdiction. However, he noted that female passengers often ask if a bus is a government one; NBSTC buses are painted blue and white as per government regulations, while the RTO office would be the authority to speak on bus colour specifications.
