This late entry rule should end. Allow them for remaining time. If someone arrives late, they will just get less time. But this way of not allowing them would lead to severe psychological stress. #NEET

Clown, NEET is not some internal school exam, it's a highly competitive entrance exam. People walking in after an hour, causing distractions to the other exam takers, is not a solution. These kids who can't even plan their arrival in time to such an important exam won't be qualifying the exam anyway, let them not disturb the rest

The late entry rule as well minimum time spent inside the exam hall rule was introduced to prevent leak of paper on the day of exam. The rules are made clear on the hall ticket … the only thing unfair is how many of you are trying to use this as an excuse for all those student a who could have been on time but chose not to!!!

This is not correct approach. People will misuse this option by having the Questions shunted to the outside world in first 30 minutes and then get the answers readied by a pro and arrive to finish within in time and accurately too!

Why late entry rule followed. Real reason. People enforcing this are not fools

For a 2pm exam the doors were opened at 11.30. If they can’t manage time and schedule then they don’t deserve the seat

It is very sad to see this... very disheartening. But they should have planned their time well. You can't allow students to enter after cut-off time.

Entrance examination is not ur Mausi's marriage celebration. Follow the Rules and give paper. According to ur view, anyone can come anytime and disturb other student.

This chalta hai attitude is the reason. Why should they allow and disturb others. There is a reason why arriving on time is imp. Lots of formalities needs to be completed. Unnecessary drama ...this is really neet. So they were already aware about the timing from last exam. Still they didn't arrive on time is their fault. Leaving home at last min is their fault not NTA 🤷🤷

How many years have they been conducting the exam? They have no knowledge or even the slightest thought of being at the exam center an hour early. All this is intentional. Aren't these Congress party followers ashamed of even having that slightest thought?

Many people miss a train by 5 minutes, do they expect the train to come back and pick them up else they would have severe psychological stress ?

During our time, used to reach exam centre at least 2 hours before. For out of station centres - reached 1 day advance and took nearest possible lodge (or even relative’s) house. Latecomers (whatever the reason) should be kicked out.

#NEET is it that simple .Hasn't there been instances where people with sophisticated earphones talk to their associates to help with their answers even while they are in the examination hall. What happens if a candidate given late entry is privy to the questions already circulated.

Don't pressurise children, there are and there will be other professions, not doctors and engineers alone make a profession. Please stop spoiling your mental peace and empower your children to take up any field of their choice and succeed in it and live a happy life.

Bull shit! The reporting time is 1-2hr before the gates close Why the fuck do they have to reach around the closing time They brought it on to themselves

it shouldnt be even question of psychological stress. if you are reaching late you should just turn around without crying and drama. its very basics for profession and mutual respect for everyone. If you cry would aeroplane cancel its takeoff ?

Come on. It is just a exam. Why do people treat it like life and death decision. Parents create so much pressure on children by doing this. How hard is it to arrive on time If govt allows late entry then the centre will become roadside market

Agreed 💯 . They think the paper gets leaked from inside the exam hall ? . Non sense. At least 15 mins late is a valid thing . Given students traveling from different areas. Plus the traffic system & public transport is worse. In every indian city. 😡

Lakhs of students are in time then why rule should change for these few people who are late everywhere . They have given 2.5 hour window clearly to get entry then why they are still late . If they can’t get the basic maths right of when to reach how will they become good doctors

Simple if reporting time is 1.30 and exam at 2 pm Students entering from 1.30 to 1.40 should be penalized 15 minutes and Students entering from 1.40 to 1.50 being penalised 30 minutes will help both students and regulators efficiently . No entry post 1.50 . Helps in uncertainty

This is the problem with Indians . They think closing time is the reporting time . That grace period of yours to allow late candidates in, begins from 11.30 am and lasts up to 1.30pm. If it’s yours career defining exam, be there by 11.30, leave early morning .

Late enteries could lead to a lot of problems including chances of cheating, hence the gates are closed. Also before the closure of door there’s already a grace time given…but these ppl have passed that time too. So this isn’t really a authority or govt problem.

@RJTALK4U How do u ensure they have not received answer keys before entry? Late entry was banned after multiple incidents of coaching institutes supplying answer keys once q papers opened Imagine if it is CAT like paper And memorise 30 40 answers

It's not that easy So many formalities to be followed before the exam The authorities can wait for each and every student to come as they wish If these students can't manage time they are not fit for this profession

Yea, so that a new form cheating is invented, where question paper will be sent to them, they will memorize the answers and be half an hour late and chest their way to success. Thanks but you really need to keep your ideas to yourself, if you can not just say be on time

In 1975, when I was appearing for NDA Entrance Exam at New Delhi, I was late bey a few minutes because of certain reasons. But they allowed me to take the exam, stating that the loss was mine. I would have that much lesser time to write the exam.

They already know that they won't get entry if they come late. Then what were they doing till this time ? They should've reached early to the center.

If the exams are kept during the first half of the day it can be considered … but The exams start around 2:00 pm. The students have the entire first half to reach the centres. Even after that they come late is not acceptable … Parents too to be blamed

Don’t agree - if you desire to be a doctor in future, punctuality is a must. Same goes for several other top exams. Exams are not just about answering the questions, also about your overall seriousness, preparedness and conduct.

I'm sure most of us have, at least once in our lives, woken up terrified from a dream where we missed an exam because we were late. We all know that sinking feeling in the pit of the stomach, the panic, helplessness, and regret. That's why this video is so painful to watch. These students missed their NEET after getting stuck in a political rally in Bengaluru. Many would argue that since it wasn't their fault, they should have been allowed to enter. After all, they wouldn't have gained any advantage, they would simply have had less time to write the exam. I understand that sentiment. It comes from a place of empathy, and that's a good thing. But large public exams cannot be run purely on emotions. They require clear, objective, and uniformly enforced rules. The purpose of a reporting-time cutoff isn't to punish late candidates; it's to ensure that every candidate is treated according to the same standard. Once exceptions begin, the rule itself loses meaning. Why allow someone 5 minutes late but not 15? Why make an exception for one reason and not another? Imagine the chaos at thousands of exam centre if you leave entry time to discretion! In exams involving lakhs of candidates, fairness lies not in evaluating individual circumstances but in applying the same rule to everyone without discretion. To add, centers are designed to complete security checks, identity verification, seating, and other protocols before the process begins; late admissions create operational and security complications and undermine confidence in the integrity of the exam. It's heartbreaking for the students. One can sympathize with them and still accept that the authorities were right to enforce the cutoff. Sometimes a decision can be both unfortunate and correct at the same time.
