BANG! See the pancake stack? This was the most beautiful pancake stacked supercell i have ever chased. Of course this mothership was hovering over Saskatchewan last night, the Land of the Living Skies. This supercell had a #tornado warning issued and produced a few funnel clouds. 25 years ago, today, on May 3, 1999, arguably the strongest #tornado in History tore through communities like Bridge Creek, Moore, and south OKC. Here was our chase of this infamous #tornado as 18 year old freshman at OU. Still to this day, this is the most powerful and structurally textbook tornadic supercell I have ever chased. It was a lesson in tornado / supercell structure and in the dark side these tornadoes leave behind that is the damage and loss of life/property. Hopefully, we never see an event like this ever again

Today was one of the most intense storms I've chased this year and honestly one of the scariest in my career. 80+ mph winds feeding into a beastly supercell completely swallowing my vehicle stranding me right in my tracks before I slowly creeped out enough to bust back out ahead of it and getting rolled with 70+ mph winds again in Grinnell, KS. Also documented a brief tornado in Atwood, KS before this all unfolded. Very chaotic storm! #KSwx
