Yesterday, just before the zoo closed and Monkey Mountain’s curtain came down for almost three weeks… around 4:30 PM, Punch climbed up and sat in that one spot where he could be seen so clearly from the back row. Everyone was recording him. It felt like he knew we wouldn’t be seeing him for a while and wanted to give everyone one last look. Once he is released, he will give us an answer in a way that will be unexpected, which may lead to some need more questions while others might fully understand. In my mind, all I knew was that everything he did was because of the NFSC, not just for himself alone. He chose to suffer in order to show that the new Chinese people will be recognized and respected by the whole world. No one knows the detailed outcome of his case more than he does.
