The end result: concrete protected bike lanes, at a fraction of the cost

So dope

I’ll never be him.

Can they come to DC

No bollards though

the end result: a pedestrian-tripping kerb that defeats a bus wheelchair ramp from reaching the sidewalk! (+ defeats the streetsweeper & snowplow!)

no expansion joints or control joints? Oof

Give me 300 of those for Madrid!

In philly we just moved the bike lanes to between where cars park and the sidewalk

I love this machine. I want one.

@PBOTinfo

That's some good shit....

This machine gives forth bike lanes

How much does one of these machines typically cost new or used and what kind of training is involved for operating it with Public Works crews? 👀👀 Asking for reasons

Thanks

A driver can easily just drive over that. Do curbs protect pedestrians or buildings from errant drivers? No. Stop calling this pussy shit “protection”

Do they put any kind of anchors into the roadway ahead of the concrete?

Holy crap!

Heat

Why dont we just prefab these?

@geogod42 It's actually more expensive by quite a lot

How does this "protect" anybody? It won't stop anything, it's just high enough to make cars lose control so they're more likely to crash into somebody.

@JeffOkrepkie Could we order one for SR?

Nice use of an extruder. Hope this is installed in regions where the ground doesn't freeze and heave or it'll crack to bits.

Man fk them bikes

@but_cyclists These will break when cars hit them: Penny wise and pound foolish

"protected"
