A group of friends found a hungry homeless man off the street. They paid him $10 to do an extremely spicy chicken challenge. After he ate the wings, he looks like he’s in physical pain, his hands are shaking and his face is red. But he couldn’t pass up money or food especially given his circumstance. Did the homeless man get what he wanted because he did get money and a free meal or were the friends wrong for making it such a painful challenge?

This lawn care owner hired this young man to weed eat while he drives the mower. As he comes to the back yard he notices him sitting down in the shade under a tree. He asks what he’s doing and he tells the owner he’s taking a break. The owner says there is no break and he needs to get back to work. The young man tells him he’s lucky because all he has to do is ride the mower. He tells him he’s taking a break and he will be back to work in a bit. If you were the owner, would you fire him on the spot? Another entitled youngster? Or, does the kid have a point, it’s fine to take a break? What would you do if that was your business and employee?

This gentleman was getting work don’t on his car, so he rented a car from Enterprise so he could get to work for the next few days. They were supposed to get him at 5pm, 5pm comes around and nobody came. He calls them at 5:10 to see what happened and if they were coming. He ended up having to get to Enterprise himself to speak to the manager, the manager claims he was being a jerk and tells him he won’t rent him a car and to leave. Considering the circumstances I thought the man was being calm. What would you do at this point?

Then when the money dried up, he got a job doing Uber Eats so he can steal the customers food, this is a grown man, I can’t decide whether I feel sorry for him due to his addiction or is he just being lazy.

My son’s daily diet is a huge game of trial error but he hasn’t given up on trying new things. This man with ARFID is sharing his food fails as he tries new foods his wife is encouraging him to try. It can be very stressful when trying to make sure they are able to eat, it can be frustrating when it’s fail after fail. The first thing I bribed my kid to try was a goldfish cracker. He wanted a new toy so I came up with the idea that I would give him motivation to eat whole dangling the thing he wants me to buy for him. He wanted some new toy btw but I told him I would buy it if he ate one goldfish cracker. While he still forced himself to eat it I don’t think he likes it because he never asks for it. Many other things he will try and says he likes but refuses to eat more of it, just the one bite. That was how I knew he did not like it. I also learned that just because he didn’t like something didn’t mean he didn’t like that specific item, if I gave him a different version of it he sometimes would eat and like it. For example I make home made Mac n cheese which he won’t eat, but he likes the Kraft Easy Mac cups and can make it himself. He’s not a fan of thick home made burgers but likes McDonald’s cheeseburgers. He will get there eventually, I’m just glad he’s willing to try new things.
