I presented state awards on the occasion of Ukraine’s Constitution Day to Ukrainian men and women who work for our state. First and foremost, to our military: I personally presented the Orders of the Golden Star to the Heroes of Ukraine, and also handed awards to the families of the fallen who, tragically, were awarded this title posthumously. I also presented awards to Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Ihor Klymenko; the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan of Kyiv and All Ukraine Epiphanius; our multi-time champion Liudmyla Luzan; war correspondent Andriy Tsaplienko; and the first responders and a police officer who saved the Dormition Cathedral after the Russian strike. A state that is fighting today for its freedom and independence. And it will certainly preserve them.

My heart breaks for the family of Sarah Beckstrom. And this tragedy is a reminder that we cannot ignore the truth: There are people inside our borders who want to see America fall. Some openly despise our way of life, our faith, and our freedoms. They chant “death to America,” and they mean it. If we don’t take these threats seriously, we will see more American lives lost. Thank God President Trump is in charge. Thank God we are deploying 500 additional National Guardsmen to secure D.C. And let me be clear: We will not back down. We will not relent. We will keep the American people safe.

THIS IS ABSOLUTELY PERFECT - How do we fix our broken government? 1. Term Limits 2. Congress is paid the median salary of the state they represent. 3. No more traveling to DC How do we do all of this - Have you ever heard of ZOOM? There is no reason for the politicians to travel back-n-forth to DC. No payment for traveling to other countries - There is no reason for these politicians going to some place like Paris - They are not foreign dignitaries or some International Peace Organization - They need to represent their state. 4. Single issue bills - There is no reason to vote on many issues at a time - If a bill can't pass on its own merit, then it should not be passed. 5. When a member of Congress speaks to the media or the American people - it's assumed they are under oath, and they can be charged for perjury for lying to the American people and the jury made up of people from the state they represent and if found guilty they will immediately be removed from Congress.

I am in disbelief that this Congress still hasn’t found the political will to do something as basic, as decent, as installing a plaque to honor the law enforcement officers who protected the Capitol on January 6. Honoring the people who risked their lives for this institution should not be controversial. It should be automatic. And if we can’t agree to put up a plaque in their honor, what kind of example are we setting for the American people, for our kids, and for the next generation of officers who might one day be asked to stand between democracy and chaos? Put up the plaque. Show the country we still have a conscience. And show those officers and their families that their sacrifice wasn’t political. It was patriotic. It was noble. And it will never be forgotten.
