Girde Chal camp, which houses families of PDKI members, was hit this morning and Komala's Surdash camp near Sulaymaniyah the night before. Material damage reported, no casualties. Both strikes are part of a pattern of Iranian attacks on Kurdish opposition bases in the Kurdistan region of Iraq that hasn't let up since the ceasefire. Over 800 attacks were recorded in the Kurdistan region between February 28 and April 20, leaving at least 20 people dead and 123 injured. The Kurdistan region and the UAE are the only 2 locations Iran has struck since the ceasefire was declared. Kurdish authorities keep stressing the region is not a party to this conflict. Now Fox News is reporting that IRAQI Kurds are launching a ground offensive into Iran. This is not true, Kurdish Peshmerga from the autonomous Kurdistan Region in Iraq would not launch an offensive into Iran. Kurdish forces from Iran are based in the Kurdistan Region, and they would be the ones launching any offensive if that’s even true. Kurdistan Regional Government needs to come out and deny this.
