This may be the most irresponsible interview I’ve ever seen.. "When does diplomacy end?” End for what— bombing Ethiopia? for generating electricity from its own river?. What measurable harm justifies even framing the question that way? Ethiopia is electrifying millions, not stealing a river. GERD is a hydroelectric dam,...

She is either a hired-gun and walking off with envelop, or she is sent. Either way somebody outside Africa wants this war, for whatever interests. There are some familiar voices that have been heard in recent times threatening that they will not stand in the way of Egypt if El Sisi goes to war over the dam. Somebody wants unravelling, disintegration and collapse of Ethiopian state. They didn’t like that developmental state model. That is when this game started.

The dam has been fully operational for nearly a year now, how exactly has it harmed Egypt so far? The real issue, Egypt's (& Arabs too) racist attitude toward black Africans. They simply don’t want Ethiopia to have control over the Nile, & any leverage, as it's Egypt's property🤡

@_HadleyGamble this is the most irresponsible, biased & warmongering interviews on TV @semafor @imimediagroup. FYI Ethiopia is building dams on its water resources following international laws governing transboundary rivers. Egypt is the one that rejects the Nile River Agreement

Good interview. This is how you sound when you try to steal assab from Eritrea. Maybe now you understand that if you want other countries to respect your water, then you should respect other countries water.

Let’s be completely honest: Egypt contributes 0% of the water to the Blue Nile, yet they demand 100% of the benefits and control. It’s exactly like a neighbor who doesn't pay a single cent toward your Wi-Fi bill, but throws a tantrum the moment you change the password to use your

@_HadleyGamble Are you serious? Do you consider yourself a journalist? You have ridiculed yourself. Ever heard of the words "Code of Conduct" or "Ethics"? You are saying you don't understand why they wouldn't go to war, and keeping an ignorant smirk while asking. Be better.

@Moveonemoveall Truly reckless journalism by @TheNationalNews. Irresponsibly probing for conflict by encouraging military action against the GERD crosses a line. Ethiopia 🇪🇹 is lawfully utilising its natural resources for development without causing significant harm to downstream nations.
