Everything and everyone matters when you’re pursuing greatness and trying to get the most out of players on a team. We are fortunate to have the coaching staff we have. The coaches put in 2-3x the work in preparation as players. I appreciate Coach Tim Walton putting the effort into these moments to create more connection with the young guys. These moments are why these young guys go out and go all out for him. There’s lots that goes into running a team. You need all coaches and players moving in the right direction. At last, a sensible adult who understands just how precious the lives of these kids are. Kids who have been caught up in a war started by adults. That said, I don't fully trust this man. There might be something behind it all… I must see this through to the very end. I am utterly fed up with seeing these kids being used as pawns in war. Instead of robbing them of their normal lives, they should simply be allowed to live as ordinary people. But the story of Eighty Six is not quite that simple…

As a father of two young kids, I keep thinking about this from Dara: "I think we're doing our kids a disservice by giving them too much, being around too much. You want to love your kids, you want to know that they're absolutely loved and appreciated. But it's the challenges in life that form you, and it's the overcoming of these challenges that give humans a profound satisfaction. If you as a parent are overcoming these challenges for your kids, you're actually doing them a disservice long-term, whereas short-term you think you're doing them a favor. They've got to learn how to make it in this world themselves. A happy life is not necessarily an easy life."

One more road to cross…. Jan 20th There’s a lot of ways you can impact the game. There’s lots of ways to impact the coaches and players. If you see me… I’m constantly trying to provide and be a source of serious, positive, encouraging and focused energy for the team. You never know how anyone is feeling. Football has lots of emotions. Lots of ups, downs and your mind shifts constantly. Sometimes it’s good to have a stable voice to encourage you, give advice on how to view a set of circumstances, talk about the mentality and strategy it takes to overcome a situation or you need a voice to tell you….. “let’s go and f*ck some sh*t up” (my favorite). It’s an honor to be back around these coaches, players and fans again. The whole experience has made me shed tears more than a few times. I’m passionate about Ohio. I have a lot of pride and happiness with being from Ohio. I love how these young guys are representing. We have to go win another tough one! I’ll be right there…. Talking, yelling, jumping, pacing the locker room like I’m preparing to play and encouraging these guys. God has blessed me. I have a great life. I get to contribute to Ohio State Football UConn Men's Basketball and @itiswhatitis_talk all while being myself in every environment. I hope this post encourages anyone who’s going through a challenging moment in their life. I’ve been through a lot of shit to get here. It might take time but you can get your life back. You can be resilient. It might take years but you can reach the top despite any and all challenges. I wouldn’t be able to operate, contribute and give value to anything I’m connected to had I not improved myself. Self improvement is the foundation of all improvement. Go Bucks! “so now when i look at the kids, my perspective has really changed too. but whats cool is, ive been making music lately and i play it every time i get in the car. hyeonmin and jongguk sing along to everything! just because they’re kids doesnt mean the music has to be childish. i mean, kids are already listening to all the same stuff as adults. thats when i realized theres no such thing as a separate music genre just for kids. if i can make quality music for kids and also look cool to them, i want to work hard to make that happen.”
